Is Love Dead

Hello here once again.

It is a new week to be creative and a new week to embrace new things.

Writing on the topic of the contest which centers around if doing good things genuinely really matters, and I would like to say that it does matter.

Yes, genuine intention matters a whole lot, even more than the act itself for the act is merely a way to show what goes on in the heart. It is one thing to do something for a person just because you have to and it is another thing to do for that person because you want to, because you have thought about it and how such an action will have an impact on the receiver and because you genuinely want what is best for the receiver, you go ahead and do it anyway without expecting anything in return.

I firmly believe that generosity is an art as well as an act because it involves a lot of things especially relating to the emotional and spiritual aspect of the transaction.

The art of giving comes in different ways as it is not only physical items that are the only things that can be given to an individual.
As humans the things that we need range from the physical aspect to emotional, psychological, spiritual aspect.

Companionship can be given, a listening ear can be given, a shoulder to cry on can be given, a genuine hug can be given and yes of course financial help can always be given genuinely.

But it is not just about the giving.

The intention is just as important as the act itself.

In the case of those philanthropists who donate to charity whether to accumulate more fame or just for the pure intent of giving in order to make life easier for their fellow man, we can never really know what goes on in their hearts though over time it has come to the attention of the public that some individuals use the act of giving to charity as a cover to mask the things that they do in secret.

Seeing as it can be very easy to present the perfect image to the public, many individuals capitalize on this, luring the public to believe that their intentions are genuine and true, leading the public to believe that they really care about the individuals whom they are helping to have a better life and when the public eventually finds out that it was all a facade, it is usually disappointing on many levels.

Honestly, it only shows that genuine care and affection for the fellow person is slowly dying seeing as the fastest way to get what you want is by giving out something, it has become something like a business transaction now.

There's this saying that I heard from someone which goes thus:

“In order to get something, you must give something"

Which is true, because in the business world, nothing literally goes for nothing. Everything has a price and nothing is given for free.

But, such a theory shouldn't be put into practice in our day to day lives especially when it comes to helping out those that are in need. There is no need to offer someone help in whatever aspect with just the sole purpose of getting something back from them – even more than was given – because it only shows just how selfish we are willing to be just to get whatever we want. It means that we do not see people as individuals who need our genuine support and care but only as a means to an end, a way to satisfy our cravings.

It really hurts also, when you find out that someone you thought cared for you was only using you to eventually get something that they wanted and what even hurts the most is the immediate departure once that thing has been gotten because they no longer see you as useful to them anymore, meanwhile you thought that you were the sole object of someone's genuine affection.

These days, everybody wants to use everybody even for the most mundane things which is not supposed to be so.
You see people that come online to “help" those in need by buying them items and filming the whole event to share on the internet only for them to take it all from the person that they were supposed to be helping once the video is over.

It is crazy indeed!

I watched how people came out complaining about this particular breed of philanthropists and how they were badly treated once they already got what they wanted on video, and it broke my heart.

Where are those who really care about their fellow individual?

I do not believe that genuine care is dead even though that is what is being portrayed today.

There is still hope for the universe.

It is really disheartening to see people help others just to gain their selfish interests. The more disheartening is that they treat them badly afterwards

It's better to not give at all.
Thank you for your feedback. 😇

My pleasure

It's painful that our word today as become a den of people who use others for their selfish interests and hide under the canopy of helping.

We need to be empathetic as Humans and help people genuinely, but for selfish interests.

We do need to be more empathetic with others and not just use them to get something.

Genuine care I not dead, it's just that it's gradually dying and we need to wake up to remedy the situation.
But who's willing to do that? Everyone wants to make a record to use it for one thing or the other 😭

They all want it documented so that people can say good things about them.
