What could be better than having access to information especially in this era and age of the 21st century. The old saying that have continued to this generation is that of the information being power which the internet has practically made so easy and possible to everyone.
This question: “Should access to the internet be considered a human right”? The answer to this very question from my own perspective is purely yes. Everyone as a human has the right to access the internet and unless when age becomes a barrier. Age in the sense of considering the under aged to have limited access to the internet due to what they might be surfing and watching away from the awareness of their parents.
And apart from the under aged individuals, everyone as an adult has the right to internet considering how information is a vital means to many activities carried out by humans. Although we know that surfing the internet has both positive and negative impact in us as humans, but I still believe that the internet has impacted more positively in the lives of many individuals. I see the internet as the only way informations are accessed easily which has lead to effective communications.
I could say that if its in the past generation before this era, people could still manage the old method of how information is being distributed because the internet was not made available to them. But the 21st century is an era of change which is why many changes has continued to occur like the internet. And the advent of the internet has brought so many changes which we are all benefiting from despite the abuse from the hands of many individuals who do not see this opportunity as a privilege.
What Would The World Be Like If Law Is Passed?
The world 🌎 is a very big universe with lots of information, and the internet is the only avenue information is being sent around in the fastest way we could ever think of. Stopping individuals from using the internet or accessing it through a law is a serious human right violation. Such laws will not last because we as humans knows when to fight back despite the troubles we may encounter in the process. This very law if ever passed will be seen as violation of fundamental human rights which must involve questions being asked.
The internet is a platform that is doing lots of transformation all over the world. And as we all know, the easiest and the fastest, therefore passing a law of Internet restriction will cause lots of information restrictions which will definitely hinder people in various areas of what they need to move forward in their daily activities, either in businesses, offices and even organizations because information is what makes communication easy. I don’t think 💭 the world 🌍 will move on without information which is literally made possible by internet.
However, while many are still believing that the change brought to us through technology and innovation are ruining many because of how negatively they are using it, many students are moving on easily and faster because of how the internet have helped them with lots of information made available. We should know as a people of the world 🌎 at large that some laws will do more damages than good.
In conclusion, Internet restriction like I said earlier should be channeled towards the underage, young kids, and this is the responsibility of the parents to know those to limit from the use of Internet. I as a parent know how good the internet is to those who values it properly.
