So, what do you call those moments you wish never ends? Or rather, what do you call those kinds of days you wish lasts for ever? I had one of such days yesterday and honestly it was fun.
As one involved in different hustles, week days are normally hectic . Imagine going for different meetings and classes. Making presentations. Analysing trades, finding time to create posts for hive. Trust me it can be crazy. I always pray the week goes very fast so I can have some form of rest by the weekend.
some weekends, though, could still be as hectic, but they are generally times I take a break, relax and unwind. Last week was one of such weekend and it was one I wish never ended.
So, my last twenty-four hours happened to fall into the weekend, Sunday to be precise. Fortunately, it wasn't one of those hectic ones. It was a free and fun day. I had options of what to do to unwind. I could decide to stay at home and binge watch movies and TV shows. I could go to the cinema or any bar around. Or better still I could just visit the city park, again. Lately, this (visiting the park) has been a regular routine for me.
A friend was coming over to see me. Being a much more reserved type, she had suggested we spend time together at a quiet and tranquil environment. The city park best describes where she wants and once again it was an obvious choice.
Like I said, I have been to this park countless times, as it is fast becoming a regular go to place for me most weekends. The serenity, the scenery, the landscape, artifacts, and everything about the park is something to always look forward to. Though there were limited activities, I ensured I made the day a beautiful one for my guest.
We got to the park by 3 pm.
We met many other revellers having their own version of fun. There are so many parts of the park one could visit. We could sit by the lakeside. Stay at the lonely hut alone. Climb the climbing world, as it is called. Or enjoy the swings. We wanted a place that was lonely and free from traffic so we chose the lonely hut. There we talked about everything that needed to be talked about. From there we strolled to see other parts of the park as well.
Being her first time, she had to make sure she soaked in the beauty of the environment. By seven pm, it was getting dark and it was time to leave.
As much as we had so much fun being together, it was so important we settled for the park. We had so many things to iron out and get sorted. This place presented us with the right ambience. It was a fulfilling end to the weekend. One that made the last 24 hrs a sweet one. Am I looking forward to doing this again? Of course, 100%. Can't wait for the next opportunity.
All pictures are mine, gotten from the park I visited.
