Not all of us but many of us especially “Desies” might have heard many times from our parents that our time was very tough. According to them, they used to put sturdy efforts into education. They had to commute to far-flung areas to seek education. “We used to swim rivers, surpass mountains, and travel through deserts to seek education.” Well I know I exaggerated a lot but many of their claims were also beyond reality and they were just to tell us that you have easy access to education, so focus on your studies and achieve something.
It is no doubt that access to knowledge is very easy these days. From the era when people used to travel not miles but hundreds of miles to seek a monastery to the contemporary epoch when they could access everything sitting on their bed. Electronics, digitization, and the internet have brought interconnectivity. Interconnectivity has not played a greater role in the spread and expansion of knowledge by integrating different cultures, ideas, and languages.
AI is all set to play a key role in comprehensive and personified education. Comprehending a person’s interests and mental abilities, AI can provide him with what he can digest producing field-specific individuals rather than those who stay astray not knowing what their goal is and what their interests are.

Intelligence is a hard word to describe. Intelligence varies with person and field. IQ and EQ can be good parameters but not ultimate and reliable ones. A person can pathetically fail in academics but will be wonderful in skills and one who might be excellent in academics might be deprived of skills. Some are sharp while some are hardworking.
Those belonging to Darwin’s theory of evolution say that every upcoming generation is a modified version of its predecessor. Naturally, shortcomings are removed, intellect is increased and creativity is enhanced. The most prominent evidence is of the journey of humans which started from the discovery of tires to the development of AI. Each epoch recorded marvelous innovations and achievements.
But Darwinism also states that those parts of the biological system which are useless are naturally removed. Our ancestors were sturdy and robust because they used to work hard and put their bodies in hard work. We have machines to do work and thus our muscle development is not as improved as theirs.
The development of AI which can do everything just by command is a marvel in itself but it is snatching the ability of creativity from us. Yes, I believe we are currently more intelligent than our predecessors but if we stopped thinking creatively then we would be far less knowledgeable than our ancestors. Ease and comfort bring apathy and the vigour of life is lost. Ease is good unless it does not snatch the rapture to gain more and more.
