I can't believe it is the sixth task of the newbies initiative, slowly the initiative is coming to an end and so far I feel nothing less but gratitude, being a part of the initiative has taught me a lot of things I didn't know before, well that is the essence of learning right? This is another milestone I'm gonna look back at and be super proud of.

In everything we do in life, it is always adequate to measure and track our level of growth and you know what? Tracking our growth enables us to know if we are making progress or not. The hive blockchain isn't an exception to that, some tools have been put in place to enable us to track our level of growth and monitor our account on the blockchain.

What are these tools?

The first one on my list isn't new to us, we've all come across it, and what is it? Well the first time I saw a comment in my post and it was from hive buzz, I was kind of confused so I called my onboarder and told him about it, then he assured me it wasn't an issue. Then as I grew further I kept getting notifications of my activities in the blockchain and the badges I've earned.

Hivebuzz notifies us of our progress on the blockchain, and most times I am even surprised at how they keep track of everyone's growth on the blockchain, always giving us updates on our account.

Another tool is the hivestats, this particular tool is logical and can be used to find details about our financial status and the activities we've engaged in on the blockchain by searching our username in the search icon, and our account pops up. This particular tool doesn't require us to log into our account, just by inserting our username and we've gotten access to our account.

Now this particular tool "hivetask" isn't like the previous one, in other to perform more activities using this tool, our login details are required, this tool may request other keys than just the posting key, be informed so when it requests your other keys, you won't say it's not necessary. This tool can used to carry out account security transactions, they've taught us about account recovery right? So this tool can be used to set up our trustee account as well.

I've been hearing people say, you can schedule a post, when you write a post and would like to schedule it to be posted the following day without you being involved in the process, now all you have to do is to schedule the post for the day you want and the time, when it gets to that day and time, it will post itself, this can be done with the use of this tool "hive.vote" Another thing it can do is to follow a curation trail ( how amazing).

The Different stats

From the image below we have different stats.

Effective HP/ hive power: This has to do with the voting weight of an account on the blockchain, that's why as newbies it is advisable to grow our HP.

Received and sent delegation: HP delegations enable us to perform different activities in the blockchain when I first joined the blockchain, I was replying to comments on my first post, then all of a sudden I couldn't any longer, I could not even a make a post, so I told my onboarder about it and he delegated some HP to me, well on the dashboard it's showing zero, so I don't know what has happened to it.

Power down Amount: This particular stat is used to convert HP to the liquid hive which takes 13 weeks.

Reputation: This particular stat tells us how far we've come on the blockchain, it's our status in numbers.

Followers and Following: This particular stat shows the number of people I'm following and those who are following me.

Posts: This stat is a computation of the number of posts and comments I've made on the blockchain for the period I've spent here.

How to Find the Lazy Panda Curation Trail?

Firstly go to your web browser and type hive.vote then the site that will pop up will request your hivesigner details, and then you'll have to log in, after logging in, a different option will pop up.

Our aim is to follow the lazy panda curation trail right? Now we will click on the icon that says "curation trail".

Here you'll have to search for the curation trail you wish to follow, then in the search icon you'd enter the name " lazy panda".

After entering, the curation trail will pop up then just click on the follow. After that go to the setting part of it, you'll have different options there, you finish up by setting it to your desired weight of vote.

Setup and configure F.R.I.D.A.Y for notifications

The F.R.I.D.A.Y is a bot that notifies us of the activities going on in the blockchain, as it keeps us updated.

How to set up? Firstly you have to join the Discord channel by clicking on the Link After that, you'll have to accept the invite to be a part of the channel.

After joining it is time to monitor your account, so you click on the help part of the channel, and then you type in your command (/register then your username) that is everything and you are done.

A brief story about my partner:

Recently the newbies were paired and everyone had a partner, including myself, so when the post was published and I saw the name of my partner, I decided to chat up my partner on the Discord app so we could get to know each other better and know what to write about ourselves, so after chatting her up I waited for a response but I didn't get any.

After a few days I decided to chat up my partner again all to no avail, it seems my partner isn't active on Discord, fortunately, yesterday my partner finally replied to me, I didn't ignore the message I replied immediately I saw it and since yesterday till now my partner hasn't replied me again.
