“Wildflowers are a reminder that the natural world is full of wonder and magic, and that there is always something new and beautiful to discover.”
I had this soulful walk a couple of days ago. I didn't intend to go far but my feet and perhaps my heart just led the way and had me going over a kilometer away. It was a surprise, more so that I was alone because I wasn't able to bring the dog with me.
I chose the least attractive road amongst the three which are nearby. First because I knew there would not be many people nor vehicles passing through and second, it feels better to walk off the beaten path even when I know it would be muddy for it rained the previous night. I was instinctively ready, had my boots on and strutted out of the house.
Anyhow, these photos are mainly of blooms seen and enjoyed along the way. This lone lily got me excited when I noticed it on the roadside whilst walking an uphill and fully cemented section of a private farm road.
A few yards from it was a shrub popping in faint pinks. I usually get excited seeing blooms where I least expect them. And this bud has just started to burst open.
The sun was bright and I loved it.
I didn't realize that the photos would not be sharp when taken while video mode is on. So forgive me for these.😊
I usually just admire beautiful flowers and do not pick any of them. But thinking about it now, I may have to take a branch or two from these bunch and try to propagate them in the yard. I'm quite sure they can make it anywhere for they thrive in the most unlikely places.
Like these ones which are way up high in the road's wall. I couldn't even touch them. Lovely pinks, I'd say.
This on the other hand was captured some 10 minutes away from here when I was just starting my walk. Also growing on the road's wall and whilst photographing it, I heard a motorbike coming so I had to move fast or I'd get hit.
These had been wonderful to see and I'm expectant that on my next stroll, there would be more to discover. That thought excites me! But today, we're going to take a different walk and it's going to be amazing!
