The Hive Borehole Project was successfully launched today and the water facility is ready to serve the residents of the Fawoade town. It was an honor for us(@mcsamm and @collinz) to supervise this project from its inception to its completion. Hive has indeed set a record in Ghana today, being the first blockchain to fund a project that will impact the lives of many people in Ghana. It was a great pleasure for us to represent the brand we believe and promote today in Fawoade Town in the Ashanti Region- Ghana. Below is the highlights of various aspects of the events:
Opening Ceremony
The launching ceremony commenced with a word of prayer by the leader of the community also the presidents of the Landlords association in Fawoade community. After giving his short address, he stated the reason for the gathering. Although the reason why this location was chose for the project has been made known to the town leaders but It was necessary that everyone become acquainted with and learned about Hive, the power behind the project.
Hive Awareness Creation
We gave a short talk about Hive in English and our local dialect (Twi) and introduced them to the innovative decentralized blockchain that is powering many decentralized applications, communities, and projects. We made them aware of how much more they can do with Hive and why it is important to spread the word about this amazing blockchain. Everyone who sees the project or hears news about what took place today would be glad to be the part of the Hive ecosystem. We're also glad that the many misconceptions about cryptocurrency and any online-based network system have been dispelled. The people of Fawoade were able to see the impact of Hive in their lives today, and they were able to experience the Hive blockchain's capabilities.
Ribbon Cutting
The ribbon cutting ceremony was done next to finally make the project ready to serve the Fawoade community. This was done by the town leader, along with other town elders and the tap was turned on for the first time, allowing the water to flow for all to see (down tap for those that prefer the carry a bucket and the top tap for those who would like to fetch water while carrying their basins of their head). Everyone was ecstatic to witness this the water flowing. Hive did reach out to them and provided them with a portable water system, which has solved their town's biggest problem.
Photo Session
We had a great time with everyone who came from far and near to witness the event, and we couldn't end without capturing the moments to help create more awareness of the Impacts of Hive. We took turns taking pictures with the community leaders and residents of Fawoade Town. Everyone was also refreshed with drinks and water before leaving the project site.
Acknowledgement and Thanksgiving
The town leaders and the residents couldn't hide their joy, but they expressed it by thanking the Hive ecosystem and everyone who helped in various ways to make the project a reality. The town leader on behalf of the people of Fawoade stated how grateful they are to Hive ecosystem for this life-changing project for the town. He also acknowledged that it is the first of its kind, and pledge his support to also share a word about the Hive blockchain with people.
Plans Underway For More Hive Promotions
It is critical that a large number of people become aware of the Hive innovative blockchain technology that is making impacts around the globe. This is why we have planned to promote Hive across Ghana's various media platforms. Today's event was captured in photographs and videos, and will be shared on different platforms, beginning with two major Ghanaian platforms (Ghanaweb and Modern Ghana), who will share news or story about the project by tomorrow with millions of Ghanaians and those outside Ghana(Updates will be shared on Hive tomorrow) . There also are plans to publicise the impacts of Hive on some selected radio stations in Ghana as well. With all these plans we seek to make Hive a household name for mass adoption not only in Ghana but the rest of the world.
