Hive is changing lives, and this is more than just a claim, it's a fact. With the successful opening of the Hive water project in Ghana today, another significant milestone was attained. This is the third water project that Hive has supported to give people access to high-quality drinking water. The project's objective is to reach out to communities with the power of Hive and make a difference in their lives. By empowering communities with these projects we also expose them to Hive and the many possiblilites that they can leverage for their greater good.
Introduction
A brief introduction of special guests who attended the event set the tone for the official launch of the Hive Project. The chief's spokesperson did this and gave a short address to the crowd outlining the reason for the meeting. The ruler of the Anwomaso town, his elders, and some locals who came to witness the historic event were present. After the address, we(@mcsamm, @collinz,@ellizbeth and @awuahbenjamin) were given the opportunity to formally present Hive to the community.
Hive Awareness Creation
One of the most significant aspects of the program that needed to be completed was introducing Hive to the community and educating them about the Hive blockchain and ecosystem. The interested and anticipatory townfolk had longed for it and wanted to learn more.
Some perceived Hive as a humanitarian organization or an NGO that has reached out to them and provided assistance. During this time, the community members received a great deal of knowledge and information, and in the aftermath, everyone who needed to learn more about hive received a brief presentation.
We were happy that a brief presentation was given to inform, clarify, and address many misconceptions, particularly those that related to any internet-based businesses. Those who had come to see the event had a much better knowledge of Hive because of the presentation.
The Official launch-Ribbon Cutting
It was finally time to cut the ribbon and open the water facility, which was the moment everyone had been waiting for. Nana Sei Boah III, the ruler of town, performed the ribbon-cutting. In his speech to the people, the king expressed his appreciation for the Hive ecosystem and was thrilled by the positive changes it had brought to the Anwomaso town. The project's schedule, in particular, caught his attention, and he was taken aback by how it quickly got started and was completed (it took us two weeks to finish this project)
He wasn't confident that we would keep our promise regarding the project until he saw it for himself today and noticed how the water continued to flow. This led him to praise Hive in the community and invite the young people to our upcoming conference so they could learn more about Hive.
Following the launch, both the townsfolk and the elders took turns to taste the water. It was a lovely sight, other people took as much water as they required for their needs. The Anwomaso community had in fact experienced the greatest joy today, thanks to Hive.
Beautiful Moments Captured
The lovely moments captured when the water facility was formally unveiled are shared below. Hive is making a difference in many people's lives.
Plans Underway For Hive Marketing
Since the beginning of the Hive empowers communities initiative, our main objective has been to use every opportunity to help people discover and learn about Hive. To give Hive greater exposure, we regularly share the news on the impacts Hive is making in Ghana on various news outlets. A number of news networks will share today's event on their platforms.
The next event on our schedule is a conference to which we plan to invite guests from various spheres of life and provide a presentation on Hive so they can learn more about Hive. Again, as a part of the Hive empowers community efforts, we had books with the Hive brand books that we have made available to needy pupils in underprivileged schools.
This project has helped four schools, and we believe that many people will learn about Hive through these instructional materials because they contain a lot of information that teachers, students, and parents may use to learn about Hive. We believe in the power of Hive, and any viable means of exposing Hive would be used for the greater benefit. While we all expect value from Hive, it is also critical that we consider what will add value to Hive.
