Mouflon are a species of wild sheep, it is found through out the Mediterranean region. Mouflon is indigenous to Cyprus, and it's the largest mammal in Cyprus, it can be found only in the remote mountains of Cyprus.
Mouflons combines the beauty of a dear and the agility of a goat.
In the past great numbers of mouflon roams the island. The animal experienced a drastic decline in numbers following the advent of the rifle. Mouflons move in flocks of 10 and 20 animals. Mouflons can be found at high mountains depending on the weather- during the warmer months they frequent the higher slopes, but in winter when the peaks are covered with snow, they search for edible plants at lower elevation.
