For me, today was a quiet Thursday, I went out to buy some groceries and everything else was relatively calm. The fear that something like this will happen again, but in a populated area or in an even bigger way, is a recurring theme in many #movies, the one I remember the most at the moment is Armageddon, starring Bruce Willis. In the plot, a group of civilians was recruited for a practically suicidal mission, to intercept a huge #asteroid on a collision course with the earth, to drill into its surface, place atomic explosive charges and try to deflect it enough for humanity to survive. . It was very entertaining, personally, it's not the kind of movie that changes the history of cinema or becomes a great classic, but I think it was good, anyway, I enjoyed it at the time and I liked the #musical theme.

A pesar de las lluvias y de la perdida ocasional del servicio eléctrico, la caída intermitente de señal de telefonía celular (la única que tengo en casa) y la lentitud de la señal de Internet (cuando hay señal)... bueno, a pesar de todo eso, puedo decir que no fue un mal día, tuvo sus complicaciones y detalles un poco molestos, pero hay gente que la está pasando mucho peor que yo por acá mismo, en fin, que no es para alegrarse por estar menos miserable que otros, pero se trata de aceptar la realidad y procurar mantener el ánimo a pesar de estar muy claro sobre la realidad en la que se vive.

Se trata de lo que se cree que fue el mayor impacto de un asteroide en nuestra historia humana registrada. Durante años se ha tenido especulaciones por lo raro que son las características del Evento, se habló de una prueba de armas de destrucción masiva, de armas alienígenas, de relámpagos circulares, de aberraciones electromagnéticas que implosionaron y otras muchas cosas. Por ahora, la teoría más aceptada es que se trató de un asteroide de alto contenido metálico y de tierras raras, que al ser hipercalentado al entrar en la atmosfera, desató una explosión (incluso antes de llegar al suelo) y arrasó una gran extensión de terreno, de hecho, han pasado más de 100 años y aún no crecen árboles en el espacio circular quemado por el Evento.
