I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Today, being March 1st, is Hive Powerup Day! Have you powered up yet today? I have, and I wrote about it in my HPUD - Hive Powerup Day - 18.6 HIVE Powered Up! post. I didn't have quite as much liquid HIVE to power up this month, for a few different reasons, but I still gave myself a sweet boost, and I wasn't too below my usual amount!
Yesterday Bryan told me something which was a wonderful and welcomed surprise. A few years ago I had given him some suggestions on crypto investing, and following my advice he ended up making his money back, along with a good profit. That part I knew. What I didn't know, and what he told me yesterday, is that he wants to give me some of the money that he made, as a 'thank you'. He didn't tell me exactly how much yet, but it's a pretty good amount (especially for me). He told me he could give me fiat dollars or crypto. I chose the crypto option, so at some point soon he'll send me a chunk of LTC straight to my wallet here on Hive. This is super exciting because it means that I'll be able to grow my account with another substantial jump. I plan to convert 50% of it into HIVE to power up, and the other half I'll swap into HBD to put into Savings. I think I may be reaching my 2024 Hive Goals quite a bit sooner than expected, which would be glorious!
In this back-and-forth, broken-heart-healing process in which I find myself, punctuated by me shutting down and withdrawing, I am seeing and experiencing how much people here do appreciate and care about me, which in many ways is quite surprising, as well as very heart opening. I already mentioned the experience with Bryan above. I also experienced it yesterday in a very unexpected and amazing conversation that I shared with Supir, a young woman who's been living here for a few weeks now, while I was in the Landing straining out kefir. She expressed appreciation for me which honestly shocked me. I had no idea. I experienced it too when I was planting assorted vegetable seeds with Sara in my nursery, giving her a tour of the fenced garden, and making dahl with her for the community potluck. It happened when I was trying to sneak out of the community potluck after I had finished eating. I had the feeling that I didn't belong, and just as I was quietly walking out the front door, Harmony and Sara jumped up and came after me, giving me a sandwich hug with me in the middle. That was a sweet way to end my rare evening social excursion.
I'm still undecided about whether I'm going to try to go out for a Sunday Funday this Sunday with people. For me to be able to do that, I'd have to compile and write my Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update on Saturday evening as opposed to Sunday evening. That means I'd have to do it tomorrow. It'd be a lot of work for a Saturday, but I'd do it if I had to get it done then. I'll see how it flows.
I left the Flow House yesterday, Thursday, after finishing my essential Hive tasks, and after a conversation with Bryan (that I mentioned above), putting my focus first on taking photos for this post, getting a few shots here and there, between bouts of clouds. Since the weather was only partially cooperating with my photo-taking endeavors, I decided to strain out kefir, while I waited for the sun to come out again (that's when I had the above-mentioned conversation with Supir). After kefir and the beautiful conversation with Supir, I took the rest of the photos for this post, sun or not. With that done, I ran into Sara, and we ended up doing the above-mentioned planting of vegetable seeds, garden touring, and dahl making. I made coconut milk for the dahl, as well as tweaked its flavor, before carrying it, and a few other things, down to Tutu's with Sara for the potluck.
After the potluck, I returned to the Flow House to do my best to get my Hive tasks and catching up on notifications done. Because I went to the potluck for a short while, I started later than usual on Hive, so for a second day in a row I was not able to get fully caught up on my notifications, much to my chagrin, coming only to within 9 hours of being fully up to date. I finally did a quick round of token management and went to bed around 12AM. I did thankfully sleep well, waking up around 6:30AM, doing a round of token managent, completing @benthomaswwd's @heartbeatonhive contest, powering up some HIVE and writing and publishing my #HPUD post, and starting on this post, before finally getting out of bed around 8:30AM to go make my superfood fire coffee.
It's now just before 12PM, so a marvelous time to end this post, so that I can get to my afternoon round of essential Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House in the later afternoon, to first strain out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, and then land work. Thankfully I already took photos for tomorrow's version of this post in the morning. I deeply appreciate you all so very much! Until tomorrow! Forward, onward, and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
