I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I've been milking our cow, Daisy, for the last several months now, originally getting into it because of a lack of other consistent and reliable people to do the task, and usually with the assistance of one other individual. Since Jo got back from the mainland, after an extended stay there, I've been milking with her daily for about the last 2 months, and it's worked really well. The only problem with how we've been doing it, however, is there there is no redundancy, no other people to take our place if one or both of us were to have other obligations, or were unable to milk for whatever reason. That hasn't been an issue, until now that is.
Jo is planning to leave for the mainland again, and quite soon, to go spend Christmas with her family, hopefully to return before New Year. If we had more people here, it wouldn't be such a problem, but with how bare-bones we we've been lately, there's nobody else to milk. Bryan, who lives part of the time on the mainland, running a farm in North Dakota, just returned to GaiaYoga, after many months away, and I had hopes of having him assist me with milking, but sadly it's not something that he's open to doing. So I'm in a bit of a pickle regarding the cow.
On top of that, Melekai asked me if I would be a part of a women's retreat that she's hosting up on the Hamakua coast, to offer bodywork to the ladies attending, from the 17th through the 19th, so quite soon. While this is great, and I told her that I'd be happy to assist, but that I do need to figure out the situation with milking the cow, and of course being able to get my important Hive tasks done.
As it stands now, although I would love to be able to help make Melekai's retreat more beautiful for the women attending, with tastes of my energy-body-tantric session work, I don't see how it would be possible with nobody else to milk the cow. So not only will I very likely not be able to be a part of Melekai's retreat, but I'm also seemingly going to have to milk the cow alone for quite a good amount of time, at least until January. To say that I am frustrated with the inefficiency and lack of redundancy at GaiaYoga is an understatement to the max. Milking alone takes about double the time, so about an hour, and also requires me to collect double the cow food to keep Daisy happy while I'm milking. Yeah, I'm a little stressed about this whole cow conundrum, and I'm really hoping that something, or someone, comes into the picture very soon to help make the cow-milking process flow easefully.
On a slightly different topic, I received a text from Emily last night asking if I had time to give her a session today. Although this was very short notice, I figured that I could make it work, so I agreed. So Emily will be coming around 1PM for her session, which means that I have to write and publish this post, get my other few important Hive tasks done, and clean and prepare the Flow House for the session, before she arrives. Luckily I got an early start.
Yesterday, Wednesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing my Hive tasks, around 1:30PM, giving my attention first on some photography for these posts, and for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest. Thankfully the sun was out most of the day, so I was able to get a lot of lovely shots at various points. After photography, I did a little sunbathing on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn, which felt wondeful. I also finally went into my nursery and the fenced garden, to do some reconnaissance, to see what needed to be done. I ended up doing some emergency weeding in the fenced garden for a little while, as I couldn't not. Both my nursery and the fenced garden are basically disasters, and are going to require a lot of consistent, focused work to rehabilitate, and bring them back to a good place. Time. That's what I need. More time, and less chaos. After working in the garden, I returned to the other side of the property to take a shower, and to rest for a short while, before getting my machete to collect a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food. With that done, I took one more shower, then I collected my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, and I made my way back to the Flow House, to get into my evening round of Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done on Hive around 11:15PM, and after some token management, and a quick scan of my X feed, I went to bed just before 12AM. I did sleep well (the 5th day in a row!), super thankfully, waking up around 6AM, doing a round of token management, beginning on this post, and then getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee around 7AM, earlier than usual, before returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 9AM, so a wonderfully early time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House around 9:30AM to go milk the cow with Jo, strain and blend kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), collect cow food, and then prepare for my session with Emily. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the Shadow Hunters Contest later today, and the next iteration of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
