Courtesy that I admire in Beijing

in #hive-155373yesterday

I have been living in China for more than 5 years, and I have enough exposure to Chinese society and people around the whole of Beijing as I am living in the Beijing Municipal. Today, I had a great experience that could get me in some trouble, but I got help from the helpful waitress at the restaurant. It would be more difficult in many parts of the world as many people, even in Bangladesh will try to do business if they find some foreigners in trouble.

I have encountered many queries from many people from Bangladesh about the food culture here as the first priority as they think here we don't eat normal foods but have a lot of bizzare foods. But in reality, you can't find them here as those foods are extremely rare in my experience.

The second query that I have come to know from people from Bangladesh is about the social life here. As most of the people in China do not follow any religion, how helpful they are, especially towards foreigners. The answer in a word will be positive in most cases, with some exceptions as well.

Today, I went to a nearby city for some shopping, but unfortunately, my phone ran out of charge and was completely dead. However, I managed to charge my phone in a restaurant there without any trouble. For your information, in China, you can find power banks for rent on an hourly basis almost everywhere. I wanted to get that one from some shop while I was having my dinner.

But to rent, I need to scan the Rentung platform code. So, I was trying to find a restaurant where I could find the power bank and take my dinner. After searching for a while, I found a halal restaurant where I found the power bank lending box and also the scope to take dinner.

I entered the restaurant and asked the waitress if my phone had no charge. She then told me the power bank box to lend a power bank, but I told her that I was unable to scan it as my phone was stolen at that time. So, she happily gave me her own charger and helped me find the socket to charge my phone.

She requested me to sit there, but I wanted to eat something for dinner. However, the restaurant was not traditional, and they sold only soup and noodles with some other items. As it was a halal restaurant, I ordered the beef soup with some meat barbeque.

Though I am not a fan of soup, this beef soup with meatballs was excellent in taste. The clear soup with the meatballs was an amazing combination. I liked it, and I will come back again to taste the soup. Also, the barbeque was good in taste.

Most importantly, I got my phone charged up to 43%, which was more than enough to return to my dormitory. I am happy that the restaurant waitress cordially helped me. So, it is quite trouble-free in China if your phone is out of charge. Just go to any shop. And they will help you for nothing.

No more toady. I hope you like my experience today, and if you have any queries, you can ask me. I will catch you at the next.
I wish you a great day.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
East Asians generally do not have religious taboos regarding food.
East Asians, including the Chinese, enjoy pork and beef on a regular basis.😃

Did you know that Chinese people enjoy dog and cat meat?😄

I have never seen dog or cat meat here and I have not seen anyone eating these meat, and also I found no restaurants selling them, it is prohibited here as much as I guess. But I have seen some shops selling worms and insects.

In rural China, dogs and cats are eaten as food.😃

ha ha ha, they also eat other things secretly, but difficult in cities.

I believe that humans have the freedom to eat all living creatures!
Dog and cat meat has a therapeutic effect on heart disease, stomach disease, and brain disease.
