This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.
What was that? I haven't written anything in our beloved hive for 12 days.
Yes, I had a big workload at the office. The company was preparing to move to a new office and this happened last week. For 4 days I came home only at 9 p.m. It should be noted that 2 of the 4 days were Saturday and Sunday. Monday and Tuesday were spent installing furniture and the most important thing for me is to connect all computers to a single network. I thought that I would have to go to the office all this week, but today I am at home on a remote basis, and in the morning I took a little walk with my wife around our small town. The main place of the walk is the city square and part of the embankment.

Due to the lack of precipitation in the summer, the river became low-water, sandy beaches grew and sandy islands appeared, which did not exist last year. In fact, this is a big problem. Large sections of the river have become unsuitable for fish and other aquatic creatures.

One of the main attractions of our city is an ancient wooden church. At the same time, they always add that it was built without a single nail. Of course, we understand that this is a lie, but the main walls are really technologically built without nails, and logs are placed in special slots-bowls.
Last year I read that the church should be renovated this year, but the season is over and no repairs are visible. I think the reasons are clear - finances or rather their absence.

The city fountain is still functioning, but it will probably be mothballed this week until next spring. At night, the temperature began to drop to zero degrees and below.

Alexander Green. This famous Russian writer was born in our city on August 11 (23), 1880. He wrote short stories and novellas, the actions of which took place in a fictional World, and the main city of this World is called Zurbagan. This World is often called Greenland.
Probably his most famous work is "Scarlet Sails" and they are a symbol of our city.

Monument to Lenin. This is not a symbol of the city, it is the curse of all Russian cities. Similar pedestals stand all over Russia. In our small town, I counted 5 statues of Lenin. I think that until Russia gets rid of these idols, it will not begin to live better.

A new park is being built in the city, my wife suggested that we walk through it next weekend, but it has not yet been completed. I think that the customer will accept it already when snow appears on the streets of our city.

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.
