Hello Hivian friends...this is the first time posting in this community.
I've been wanting to share for quite awhile now...so, today I thought I would take you on a walk down "3rd Avenue in Melkbosstrand West Coast South Africa to the beach.
To me...this is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
The little fishing village over looks the Atlantic Ocean, displaying it's beautiful white sands and rock formations.
Penny the Retriever didn't hesitate to come along on our Wednesday morning walk. Being the start of winter, the weather was a bit nippy, other than that a very pleasant family stroll.
While walking along the path towards the beach, Penny decided to stop and smell the Fynbos, Fynbos means Fine bush a vegetation found along the Cape Coast of South Africa.
The aloes with it's beautiful array of bright orange color,set against the white walls of the beach houses, is another beautiful plant called the "Aloe ferox (Cape Aloe) which is indigenous to our Cape Coast.
Some more natural scrubland vegetation (fynbos) overlooking the sea.
The style and siting of the houses are centered around views which totally embrace the Sea.
The wooden benches are scattered all over the beach area where one can sit and enjoy the cool breeze from the sea and listen to the Sea Gulls sing as they fly over the Ocean looking for food.
This is where I love to sit with my own thoughts when I visit here, and meditate on the things of life.
The people of Melkbosstrand spend a lot of time taking a stroll on the beach with their dogs, or just enjoying the company of friends and meeting new people; just chilling out.
Can't blame them...it's a beautiful experience.
The smooth stones shaped and washed up by the sea are plentiful on the white sand. The brown seaweed lay undisturbed like rope along the coast of Melkbosstrand.
There is a lot to be said about the Seaweed along the coast, but that is another post all together Lol!.
Melkbosstrand is a favorite spot for Surfers and swimmers in the summer time.
Melkbos Kitchen is my favorite eating place where they serve the best freshly cooked seafood one can find.
While enjoying the meal, one can also enjoy the view of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean right on the beach.
My walk with hubby and daughter sighting the aloes and sea gulls, made my day, the best medicine to lift one's spirit.
There's nothing like the sound of the sea and the soft breeze on one's face...it has such a calming effect on me...it's exhilarating.
