Wednesday Walk: Conservation Park

in #hive-1555302 years ago

Hello members of this awesome community, it feels so great to write here again. I feel very elated writing about my unplanned walk.

So I was invited by my Friends to go on a walk with them. I was never told where we were headed, they all ganged up to surprise me.

I later found out we were headed to a conservation park. I was super excited because I looked forward to seeing some amazing beautiful creatures.

On arriving there, we had a guide who took us round the facility.
I was opportuned to see a Bush Rat for the first time at close range.

Next, we were led to see a Lab rat also called Albino wistar rat

My excitement got heightened when we were told there is a live crocodile...I doubted at first until I started becoming scared. I recalled all the movies I watched that had violent crocodiles in them and I silently prayed we weren't going to experience such.

The fun was at its peak. I was certainly enjoying every bit of the moment. We were then showed the Tortoise. I recounted stories about the Tortoise and its wisdom and I felt it was an honour to take a selfie with it.

Finally, we were shown a Snake. Our guide told us we could carry it because it doesn't bite. For the next ten minutes, nobody moved an inch until one of us broke the jinx and carried it.

I could still feel tensed but after watching three persons carrying the Snake, I decided to boost my courage and carried it.

This is an amazing place. We were shown other animals like the Senegalese parrot, monkeys and the turtle.

I later learnt that the conservation park was initiated so as to preserve some animals before they would go into extinction.

Sort:

Oh wow, you held the snake in your hands? Huh, cool :))
One of my friends works in a conservation park, an important task they have to preserve some species from the extinction !

I was kinda scared at first but I'm glad I did hold it... its skin got me having goosebumps.

What a cool place to visit
Bravo fir finding the courage to hold the snake
