Lost in a sea of petunias 🌸

Good evening, amazing people!

So, it's pouring rain here in the Philippines, and guess what? School's out for the kiddos! Last week, my daughter rocked her recognition day, signaling the start of her well-deserved break. She dropped a bombshell a few days ago, saying she's itching to hit up Baguio City, and you know what? I'm totally on board! Lucky for us, it's just a hop, skip, and a jump away from our hood, about an hour and a half drive. Now, I'm stuck in a pickle, trying to decide between hitting the road to Baguio or just chilling in our town. Rainy days and no wheels? Total bummer! The traffic and downpour are a recipe for disaster and a major time-suck.

This morning, I sent a message to my Baguio buddies on our Facebook group chat, asking about the weather up there. It turns out, it's a rain fest every single day! Talk about a reality check. I'm crossing my fingers we can make the trip happen because Baguio is my happy place for a breather amidst nature's finest. The mist, the mountains, the whole shebang—it's my jam! It's been half a year since my last Baguio adventure, and I'm itching to squeeze in a visit before the school bells ring again in two months. As I map out our getaway, memories flood back of a gem near Baguio—the Bahong Sunflower Farm, just a short drive away. That place holds a special spot in my heart. I recall sharing a blog post and a couple of snaps from my last visit. Today, I'm pumped to shine the spotlight on the stunning stars of the farm—those gorgeous Petunias!

So buckle up, folks, 'cause we're in for a flowery treat! Let's make this trip happen!

It was Christmas break, and my daughter and I were like, "Let's hit the road to Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet!" It's become our annual tradition to escape to the mountains during the festive season, soaking in that chilly vibe that screams Christmas. We kicked off our adventure before the crack of dawn, rolling into Baguio just as the sun peeked over the horizon. After touching base in Baguio, I scooped up my friends downtown, and off we zoomed to check out the top sights. Our final stop? The Bahong Sun Flower Farm is a real gem. But hold up, forget sunflowers for a sec, 'cause I gotta rave about the stunning petunia fields that stole the show! Let's dive into those vibrant petals and soak up the floral paradise!

As we strolled into the farm, colors exploded all around us, painting a jaw-dropping scene with the majestic mountains in the background. The Petunia fields sprawled out like a vibrant carpet, swaying in the cool mountain breeze. I went full paparazzi mode, snapping pictures from every angle and filming the floral extravaganza. But wait, it gets even better! Tucked snugly in the mountains, Bahong Sun Flower Farm served up views that could rival any postcard. We roamed the fields as the clouds rolled in, setting a mystical vibe that took the enchantment up a notch. It was a snapshot-worthy moment, a mix of nature's magic and the joy of sharing it with our crew. The Petunias were the real showtoppers, flaunting their rainbow of colors and delicate petals under the mountain's soft glow. Every hanging pot was like a mini masterpiece, adding a whimsical touch to the already stunning backdrop. It was a riot of colors that lifted our spirits and filled our hearts with pure bliss. As the day unfolded, we got lost in the Petunia paradise, time slipping away in a floral daydream. It wasn't just about the flowers; it was about the laughs, the shared moments, and that sense of wonder that wrapped around us like a warm hug.

Next time you're itching for some floral magic and mountain vibes, mark Bahong Sun Flower Farm on your must-visit list. I promise you, those Petunias and the jaw-dropping views will leave you speechless, just like they did for us. Keep exploring, keep blooming, and soak in all the wonders nature has in store for you! Until our next adventure, my friends! Thank you for stopping by!

Wow it's the first time I've heard of this lovely place. If Baguio and Benguet were not that far from me, I'd love to visit it too. LOL! That will have to wait for now, as my travel buddy is still far away (based overseas for now). I wonder if petunias will grow as nicely in Manila where weather is way hotter. Keep sharing your lovely adventures! It inspires me to dream to complete my travel bucket list. Happy midweek!
