I woke up before dawn and an hour or so later, I was in Peroj ...
... the small coastal (or more like - almost coastal) town, situated about 20 - 25 kilometers from the small seaside town in which I live. The old part of Peroj was built a couple of kilometers from the sea, and the small port was kind of detached from the town. But with advancing tourism, the new houses, row by row, neighborhood by neighborhood, finally reached the sea. I stopped only a minute near The Orthodox Church of St. Spyridon, the biggest church in town, and I took only this shot ...
... before driving to the sea.
Only when I parked near the beach ...
... this Wednesday Walk properly started.
The atmosphere was still pretty gloomy when I arrived.
The summer props, parasols and stuff, looked kinda surreal in these winter circumstances.
Only the birds were active while everything else stood still.
The morning was cold ...
... the beach deserted and quiet ...
... it was a highly meditative setting.
This interesting fragment of an old partially destroyed dock looked like a submarine when seen from a distance.
I came closer to the sea...
... and zoomed in to take a better look at the birds on that man-made little islet.
The cormorant was drying its feathers on top of some rusted construction.
This place was the highlight of today's walk.
The parasols also offered some nice, photogenic details.
Winds had changed their shape, adding a bit of individuality to the once identic parasols.
Each one was now partially destroyed in its own way.
On the other side of the path ...
... there was this summer restaurant. I climbed on the small terrace ...
... and took a shot from up there.
It looks that the dogs aren't invited here.
I took only two more shots ...
... on the way back to the car. It wasn't a long walk, so this post is pretty short as well. As always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work - THE END.
