Hello wednesday walkers š
Today I want to share with you a day of my wonderful vacation in Madrid.
The apartment we rented in downtown Madrid on Calle Mayor was great. And from the terrace there was a view of the city center.
The apartment we rented in the center of Calle Mayor was great. And from the terrace there was a view of the city center. We quickly dropped our luggage at the apartment and hit the beautiful streets of central Madrid.
We visited the famous San Miguel market, where amazing dishes were offered, I was most pleasantly surprised by the seafood š The market also offers various bakery products, tapas and all kinds of drinks.

Plaza Mayor is the most famous square in Madrid and the largest. Called by some the "Navel of Spain", in the center of which there is a monument to Philip III. Here we visited many shops with souvenirs and clothes. There are also restaurants and cafes.
We then continued along Calle Mayor where we came across the Museo del Hamon - the Hamon Museum - a raw-cured Spanish ham that turned out to be quite tasty. We came back here the next morning and had sandwiches with different fillings for breakfast.
At the end of the street we reached the Puerta del sol square, where the zero kilometer and the monument of Carlos III on horseback are located.
Here rises the symbol of Madrid - the bear and the strawberry tree, or more precisely a tree resembling a strawberry. But we saw him the other day in the evening. The photo is from then.
We continued our walk around the nearby central streets. I was surprised that I didn't see any graffiti, but I thought that actually Madrid is full of big buildings, temples and cathedrals that are architectural monuments and cannot be spray painted. But I still took photos of the ones I saw.
