There is not much light today, on my wednesday walk

in #hive-1555306 days ago

While I'm thinking about how to start this post, the opening verse of a track goes through my head: "Grey morning, the city is waking up. Morning sellers, thay go to work...".

And I ask myself... "What can I, who on this cloudy December 11th, given that I live in the northern hemisphere, can show as photos this Wednesday..."?
Nothing!
Only darkness and a cloudy sky.
And it will be even darker in ten days.
That December 21 will be the day with the least daylight and the most darkness. I can't wait for it to come and go.

I leave for work in the morning. I leave the apartment, and a gloomy morning awaits me on the streets, just like in the lyrics of the song from the beginning.

It's so dark the street lights are still on...

There is also fog, which hides very tall buildings in my neighborhood.

I arrive at work a little before 8:00 a.m., it has dawned, but it is still foggy.

As the day progresses, a little more light breaks through the clouds, but not a single ray of sunlight. All day, the sky is gray...

I pack my laptop and head home exactly at 4:00 p.m.
Outside, the lights were on and it was already dark.
Dark again.

By the time I get home it will be like the middle of the night.

Apart from these morning and evening pictures and a bit of cloudy sky, I have nothing to spice up this #wednesdaywalk post of mine.

I can't compete with you who live in the south, so your day has more light or with you who didn't spend 8 hours in the office under artificial light today.

I took a walk because I love it, and took some photos of dark details, I was lucky enough to get a shot.

Because I remembered how good ghost photos can be made with proper camera settings in low light conditions.

a beautiful night walk
the short days in winter dark when one heads out to work and dark again when you leave can be so frustrating

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk

have a great day

I feel like I live only during the weekend.

Ah, the short winter days can be so tough. But your photos really capture the beauty in that dark atmosphere. Sometimes the grayest days offer the most interesting moments. Hope you get to see a little more sunshine this weekend 😊

I need either some sunlight or snow 🌞❄️
When the snow whitens everything around me, the darkness doesn't seem very dark to me 🙂

I totally get that
Snow has a way of making everything feel so peaceful and magical. ❄️

Just talked to my parents, and they say it is foggy. Now I see it in photo documentation too :D

Report on weather conditions in the field 😀
Are they further north than me?
The fog is probably even thicker in the plains...

Yes, they are in the plain. Even their dog and the cat don't want to go outside 😂
They say that the cat is growling in front of the balcony door while looking outside hahaha

hahaha, so cute while playing with the snow and later - it's wet, let's escape hahaha

I like walking in the early morning and really love walking when the streetlights are still on; they glimmer and glitter so nicely and I think it's pretty. Thanks for showing us a little glimpse of your day.

I also like to walk in the morning and in the evening, before dawn and at dusk, but I don't like when it's a short day, so I spend the whole day while there is light at work 🙂

Short days mean long nights so I suppose you could find something enjoyable to do at night to excite you?

Short days mean long nights (and very cold ones🥶), so staying at home, in a warm place, with my partner, is a real treat💕

That sounds so nice and something I like doing also.

There is not much light today

It seems to me to be quite the opposite.
The photos are very beautiful and in addition to the lights of the street lamps, cars and other elements, you carry your own light inside you.

;)

During the day, I accumulate so much EMC radiation that I just glow 🙂
I'm kidding🙃
The night mode on the phone, which I used to photograph them, is to blame for such a good brightness of the photographs.

Human eyes are limited. So believe the phone.

And it's a good thing you have extra charge! 🤣

Especially when I wear a wardrobe made of synthetic materials. Then a shot is heard, for whatever I touch 🙂
