Small Preface: Before you ask - yes. My street is named after John Kennedy. Why? How? The questions serve no purpose and will not be answered. What is important is - it's gangsta. Always keep that in mind.
The first ever Wednesday Walk I did was about the ghetto-like neighborhood right behind my place of residence. Serava. Now, we will look at a much more 'normal' but at the same time more 'boring' environment.
I plan on doing another post going up and down John Kennedy. Look at this more as the innards of John Kennedy, rather than the runway. How many puns am I gonna use in these posts? Probably one more, but I think I'm done for now. 😄
Time to check out this labyrinth-like neighborhood - Onwards! 🚶
🔷 KINDERGARTEN 🔶
This right here, my fellow lovers of walks, is my kindergarten. 😭 Do not be sorry for my tears. For they are tears of a time long passed. A time I cherish. But all in all, that was almost 30 years ago so who really knows what happened? 😁
The small streets here are quaint with cute houses. Each of them somehow has a dog btw. Although I didn't manage to snap any doggos this time around. 😔
You know the rules. You can't have a cute neighborhood without some street vendors. Also, said street vendors have to be wholesome old men. Hey, I don't make the rules.
There are several small streets that form a grid pattern. Might be confusing for anyone new living here. But they are very easily navigated. Trust me.
Since we gotta break this up into categories to make the post flow better. Imma arbitrarily do that now. Hey, I don't make the rules. 😇
🔷 SECOND STREET 🔶
Remember those cute houses you just saw? I mean, of course, you do it happened barely thirty seconds ago, but roll with me here. Well, further down the same type of houses have magically transformed into buildings. And by magically I mean capitalism.
And they are not done btw. They will keep building until there are no cute houses left. 🥺
Many hide-and-seek games were played here. Especially at this next spot. You see, there are several ways you can maneuver around the topological opportunities available. // not sure if that made sense but we're going with it
And now, for the third arbitrary distinction. Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages. I bring to you:
🔷 HOSPITAL 🔶
Behold! The monument upon which I was born. You shall ignore the amateur thumb sticking out.
I will take this time to comment on these electrical scooters that are literally EVERYWHERE. A company bought them out a few years ago, and now they are the prevalent form of public transport. Not sure if anyone has something similar where they're from. Here, you have an app that tells you where a scooter is located. The same app charges you depending on the distance you've traveled. I don't mind them. I just wish more people were cognisant of the fact that they are very silent and it's easy to get hit if you're not careful.
One thing I love about this part of town is that its very nice for walking. Quiet, with little cars around.
And that's about it when it comes to the outskirts. Sorry for the abrupt ending. But there wasn't really a good way to do it. 😅 You might call it arbitrary. 🤷♂️
Jokes aside. The second part will explore John Kennedy propper more. Figured we'd tackle these smaller connective streets first.
