The Rocky Trail

My brother wanted her two girls to experience as many things as possible so during our trip on the 31st, we intentionally took the other route so we would explore at least one of the attractions along the way. While we had passed by the area a few times 2-3 years ago, we did not check it out. So our recent visit was good timing since it had some facelifts.

So welcome to Polig's Farm, specifically to The Rocky Trail.

The giant kettle welcomed us after the ticket booth. I never thought it was that big! It's a snack house after all.

And not so far from it are three giant cups each containing a table and 4 chairs for guests who want to enjoy their coffee time. For some reason, we neglected to take pictures of the inside.

We walked further and saw some trees, blooming plants, another kettle in the garden, and rows of flower beds. We also sighted the stairs and walkways up in the distance. They are hard to miss because of their blue paint (the place's theme color, I think).

Also seen in that area were an orange Volks, a strawberry pic booth, and a rabbit pen, among others.

We found some statues and were chuffed when we noticed the blueberries in front of what we thought was a cottage. I got distracted admiring them so the husband and Yongi went ahead.

Where to go now?

My niblings were already enjoying the swing up in the playground but the farmboy wasn't there so I turned left.

I thought of checking the Big Hearts first but some people (a few couples) were doing photoshoots so I headed further down, capturing a few more pics of stuff on my way. It's nice that they have benches under the trees.

Looking up, I noticed a big white bird! Flying duck? LOL! I think it's a dove or something.

163733.jpg

And then I went a little farther toward the Rocky Trail where I could see the husband hundreds of meters away. Meanwhile, the polar bears are looking friendly, or are they not?😅

My legs wobbled on seeing the hubby and Yongi crossing the walkway on the side of the big rock!

163815.jpg

I paced quickly to see them up close and aha! The huge green man was there too!

Caught up with my two boys on the other side of the bridge.

From there, we climbed the stairs and the two boys went ahead while I took pictures and enjoyed the landscapes/scenery. I didn't realize they moved quickly they were already at the viewing deck at the end of the bridge!

Followed them and was glad I could do it when I claimed to be afraid of heights, huh? Perhaps my mind was tricked, lol! Mind you, the fear just comes suddenly.

Anyway, we took some pics and then he left me with Yongi because he wanted to trek to the top of the trail. I opted to stroll along the less steep stairways where the shadows I shared previously were taken.

That side of the mountain is rocky, hence the name (Rocky Trail).

It was 5 pm and the sun was about to hide behind the mountain when he took this pano. Unfortunately, it doesn't really show the whole view of the place. We need a drone!

We met near the Grotto and that would be for another day. We were fascinated by what they did with the place. However, while there are railings on most walkways and stairs, the rocky trail is not ideal for those with vertigo or a fear of heights.

And this by the way, is my participation in the Wednesday Walk initiative by Tattoodjay. Thank you and until next time!

Yes, enough to burn bad calories from all the food we consumed during the holidays, lol!

Wow a giant coffee cup, here we've a giant tea cup like this 😁 because here tea is more common than ☕

That's nice! It must be a beautiful sight :)

I'll share you an image if I've in my phone

It is such a big and beautiful park, quite an adventure to walk through it.

I think the tea or coffee was so good that they forgot to take pictures inside the giant teapot.

Thanks for the ride, it was fun to read you, best regards. @ifarmgirl

It was. Thank you for visiting :) We were distracted by many things we forgot to photograph many things, lol!

I got cold feet by just watching the railings by the hill. Hope you enjoyed your adventure. Happy for you !BBH

Wow! What an awesome view at the edge of the viewing deck! I bet your kids had a blast at this massive place. This humungous kettle is so fun to look at!

The kids stayed in the playground and didn't join us on the trail :)

Oh! Wel, that explains it, the playground is their little slice of heaven!!! Hahaha!

So fascinating to walk around there. Those kettles are really one of a kind.😁

Hehe oo nga sis, but it can get scary when you look down. Bangin sa ibaba eh, hehe
