Happy New Year dear friends of my friend @tattoodjay's beautiful #wednesdaywalk community.

Yesterday, despite the torrential downpour, we went for a walk to the Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park, it was a planned outing with friends from the 31st to go out and entertain ourselves for a while.

It's a huge park and even though I've been walking since I arrived, I couldn't see everything. It is one of my few outings that I have done since I arrived in Bogota and I enjoyed it like a 5-year-old girl.

The park has a large lagoon, it actually looks like a river. It is very deep and has many fish that could be seen from the shore.

They have a large fleet of boats that they rent for 1 hour to row around the water but they were not working. I imagine they are on vacation for the December holidays.

There is a large area full of beach sand, where children play and bathe in sand. It was wet from the rain, but despite that the children played with pleasure, bathed in dirt.

The sign says:
Beach.

  • Enter the beach without shoes.
-Your children are under your responsibility.
-Do not ride a bicycle in this area.
-Do not walk your dog in this area.
There are also some drawings of prohibited things like a drink, which I imagine is not allowed to drink liquor in that area.

Over the airspace of the park many planes pass, both taking off and landing since the El Dorado Airport in Bogota is very close.

There is also a large fenced space where there are games for children, swings, slides and a play train.

I literally did a lot of walking but it was worth it as I had fun and my grandkids also had fun and played. It was a very different day from the others.

Indeed, a beautiful place for a walk despite the rain! The park, the lagoon and the children's park. Sometimes we need this walk, not only it's good for the heart but also for the eyes☺️
Happy New year‼️

Apparently the rain made it more beautiful, anyway it gave us a couple of hours to walk without getting wet and to enjoy the walk. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

such a beautiful park, so much to see and fun for all adults and children

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

We have to go back to this park because I couldn't see everything. This year I will try to visit more places to walk and show them in the community, many times we do not know that they are there waiting for us. Thanks my friend @tattoodjay

Happy new year maam ,what a cool place its a perfect place to relax.

That's right, to sit down and think about the plans for 2023. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
