Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great Wednesday. My Wednesday is working after long maternity leave, so I went for a walk to the quay located near the company where I work. I work in a part of Belgrade called New Belgrade, near the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.
I'm having a hard time getting used to working in the office because I got used to going outside and walking often during my maternity leave. But luckily, on the top floor of the company we have a large terrace where we can catch some air.
New Belgrade is a place dominated by tall buildings and business complexes, but there is one place where you can rest your eyes in the greenery by the river, so I headed there after work.
It is the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Before I reach the river, I passed through a large green expanse and a well-kept park.
Here I feel like I'm not in an urban area. I feel like I'm in a spacious meadow with well-maintained walking paths.
But that lasts for a short time because here and there, there are some elements of the urban environment, that remind me where I am. 😊
I came across flowers while walking. Flowers always attract my attention and call me to photograph them.
On my way to the river, I stopped by the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Many sculptural masterpieces are displayed in front of the museum.
The museum collects and displays artworks produced since 1900 in Serbia and Yugoslavia. In the picture below, circles indicate circulations in space.
And the female sculpture is called Bather.
What was particularly interesting to me was the red old bus in front of the museum.
It's a London bus. It says on the bus that it goes to Trafalgar Square in London. I wish I could take a ride on this bus like in the old days and visit London one day. 😊
On the way to the river, I came across another interesting vehicle.
It's an old fiat 500 L. My grandfather drove that car. It is very beautiful but unfortunately, this one is so dusty that it detracts from its beauty. 😊
And finally, the Danube river with a view of the Kalemegdan fortress and the most beautiful part of Belgrade.
I love when I get to the river. I regain my energy and feel the peace that improves my day.
I spent some time there and put a smile back on my face.
The photo is not of such good quality because of the sun's rays, but I didn't notice when I took it. I enjoyed the sun's rays. 😊
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
Jelena
