Flowers bloom in different times, in different ways and in different places. They bloom when it is their time.
We had a long time walking around our village when we distributed leaflets for our Voice of Youth: Unstoppable program this week.
Our goal is to invite as many as possible by visiting their homes, talking to them and giving leaflets as invitation to them.
We walked blocks by blocks and passed by different roads. While walking there is something that gets our attention -- the flowers.
Most of the houses have flowers, some were consists of all leaves and others were flowering. Those flowering flowers were blooming and it really gets my attention.
Here are the flowers we found along the roads:
Plumbago auriculata
We first saw this blue flower blooming so well and they were so many in one group. I really don't know it's name and with the help of Google lens I found that name. This flower is called plumbago auriculata in it's scientific name. This also known as cape flower or sky flower.
We walk continuously and found the same flower but in different color. We saw another plumbago auriculata in white color.
Catharanthus roseus
The scientific name of this flower is catharanthus roseus. This is also known as cape periwinkle or bright eyes.
We are amazed because they comes in different color. We saw three different colors continuously and they look so good growing along the road. For sure the owner planted it with different colors.
This flower is not growing so tall, they are just around 10-12 inches tall.
Thunbergia erecta
We also found this white flower that looks like a trumpet. They look so blooming too in white. It is really good to see this flower growing so tall about 5' in height.
Brugmansia suaveolens
This flower looks like a trumpet and it is also known as angels trumpet. I found out that they comes in different color but we just found this color.
It grows so tall that I need to look up to see and capture it's beauty.
Pachystachys lutea
This yellow flower with some white in between petals looks so attractive because of its bright colors.
This really gets our attention because they were so many. This is also called as lollilop plant. Do you find it like a lollipop? It is indeed because of its long shape.
Mirabilia jalapa
We saw this flower in bright color, it is so attractive, isn't it? It is also called as 4 o'clock flower because it commonly opens in the late day.
I took this picture 5:45 in the afternoon and look some if it's flowers are open and others don't.
Ruellia simplex
I saw an old woman cleaning his garden including this group of flower. This is commonly called as Mexican petunia.
They look so good in purple and their beauty becomes more attractive because they are many.
This flower didn't come in single color as I also found another color beside it. A semi light pink in color.
Tagetes erecta
It is so attractive in gold yellow and it is so bright in the eyes. My son was tempted to pick some and I was surprised by it's smell. Might be it's smell is good for others but it is not for me. The smell didn't get out when we didn't touch it, but when my son touch it because he picked some then it's smell comes out. It is called as marigold.
We also found this flower but I'm so sorry I can't find it's name. If you know it's name I would glad to know it in the comment box below.
It is also attractive in its pink color and pointed pink petals.
Those are the flowers we found along the road during our walk. We walk for more than hour but it seems we didn't felt tired. Those flowers we found and met along the road gave some relaxation as we enjoy looking to them.
Flowers is a gift of God to us. It can be given as a symbol of love, as symbol of comfort and sympathy, a symbol of congratulations and most of the time flowers makes us smile.
All photos are mine captured by my mobile phone. This is also my participation for the #wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay and in collaboration with @elizacheng 's #makemesmile. It's also #alwaysaflower.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope to see you again in my next blog. Feel free to drop your comments, show your support and follow for more.
