Hello friends of Wednesday Walk. It is a pleasure to introduce myself to this community. I want to do it by presenting some images of one of the most beautiful places in Cuba, in my opinion, Viñales. But I will not show the most media places (its valley) but some moments that I could enjoy in the center of town.
I had the privilege of welcoming this year's winter there. I arrived very early to the town, before dawn and found an unusual silence for me. At other times I have arrived at the height of the tourist season, which by the way is about to begin. As I walked along the main avenue, enjoying the tranquility of a town that was beginning to wake up with the first light of dawn, I was struck by the cleanliness of its streets and the halo of modernity mixed with the classic of a country town. Its inhabitants have managed to create a very attractive and welcoming environment for the visitor.
As I walked in search of the park in the center of town, something quickly caught my attention: the sunrise. It seemed magical to me to observe how in slow motion the sun's rays illuminated every corner of the town, a town built between hummocks. I took advantage and tried to capture some of them. I was not the only one enjoying those moments. Some guests of the Hotel Central Viñales also enjoyed the moment combined with the morning coffee on the terrace.
Little by little the town began to come to life like a flower that opens when the magic rays of the sun caress it with its warmth. That was the feeling that the sunrise in the town provoked in me as I walked along Salvador Cisnero Avenue. I continued on my way to the work tasks that took me there and kept me busy a good part of the day. However, there was plenty of time to enjoy one of the courtesies of a friend who invited us to her bar while we waited for our transportation back home. There we reminisced about old times and committed to another longer visit. As if that were not enough, the afternoon gave us the entrance of a cold front accompanied by a light rain that my colleagues disliked, but in my opinion gave an even more magical touch to the town.
