Whenever life's burden is becoming way too heavy to handle, just look on the brighter side. Like a sunflower, that's what it cheerfully reminds us all.
Hello, hivers! It's good to share with you little details about my everyday life again. Have you ever noticed that the sunflower is always facing wherever the direction of the sun is? A literal representation of looking at the brighter side. From its name itself, in its happy yellow color, a reminder to be always cheerful despite it all. It amazingly has the power to lift our weary moods and spirits. From its long fuzzy stem to its beautiful golden petal that resembles the rays of the sun, no wonder it has captured not just mine, but a lot of women's hearts for sure.
With its stunning beauty that perfectly gives a perennial dimension to any bouquet, who would say no to sunflower? More than just it pleases the eye, its vibrant yellow petals have the magical power to lighten up spaces and spirits.
One morning, while strolling the new neighborhood, we happened to bump into this beautiful mini sunflower farm, which is honestly I did not expect because for now, we are presently living in the city. My Mama, sister and daughter were here for a short summer vacation, so I decided to have a walk with them around the community. And since we have newly moved house here, we were not familiar with the neighborhood. And I was happy to have found it here in the place I least expect to find it.
As per the gardener that was watering the flowers during that time, it is a project cooperatively and voluntarily done by the residents association. For the beautification of this place, they came up with the "bright idea" to have this community's corner be planted with these lovely sunflowers.
It is protected with a steel fence and of course, a strictly NO PICKING OF FLOWERS PLEASE! sign is displayed to refrain people and animals from ruining them. I guess it's a good neighborhood anyway, for keeping this mini-sunflower garden protected by not picking a single flower. Like what we did, they took nothing but pictures.
I have always wanted to visit a sunflower farm. But so far it is not yet fulfilled, that's why unexpectedly seeing a mini-sunflower garden in this rural neighborhood has made me happy. It is the closest to encountering a real sunflower farm. And it has indeed lightened up my day.
Like the sunflower, despite the intricate twists and turns of the puzzle that sometimes life is leading us to, I also have that one brilliant sun that brightly reminds me to be always optimistic and cheerful.
As we know, the sun is the only star in our solar system. Well, I should be forever grateful to the universe for aligning all the stars and sending me the most brilliant one here on earth, my daughter, Star. My shining precious treasure in the light of days and darkness of night. My twinkling reminder that whenever there are frustrations and sadness, I always have my sun, well a very special one, I can always stare at, for a brighter side.
My Star was sleeping. She got tired easily even if she did not walk. (Haha!) She was not able to witness the beautiful sunflower garden that we happened to pass by. Anyway, even when she was wide awake, there was no way that she will get to appreciate this because she is still very young. But for sure, I will take her to a sunflower farm one day. I want her to experience a relaxing walk with me in a sunflower maze. I want her to breathe in the refreshing ambiance these stunning flowers can offer. And instill in her early years to be always optimistic about life.
"Always look on the brighter side." This saying must be a cliche but this is how we should face life. Like these lovely sunflowers, that vibrantly capture our attention, no matter how heavy the petals we are bearing, just look at the sun. And surely you will see that there are lots of reasons to be always grateful for, and that is life itself. And the more thankful you are and appreciative of all the blessings that you have, the more life will give you a bounty of beautiful reasons to be more thankful. We may have often taken it for granted, or are too focused on complaining about everything that we fail to see and realize that life itself is an amazing gift, we just have to attract beautiful manifestations about it. And praise be to God for that!
Thank you hivers for walking with me and let me be a part of your Wednesday again. I hope you all have a bright day ahead. Until then my friends!
