For my #WednesdayWalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #MakeMeSmile by @elizacheng, I am sharing these photos that I took of random things taken on different days. We had a walk up and down Session Road to see what shops, food, drinks, and other stuff are there right now.
However, it felt like it was a Market Friday so I'd just share the video I made.
Please feel free to subscribe to my channel. Thanks!
I am sharing the photo of these two mascots that I am sure some of you would recognize. There were other cosplayers at that time aside from these two.
If you notice the boxes in front of them, those are tip boxes. These mascots/cosplayers earn through tips from the crowd. You get to see more of them every Sunday when Session Road is closed to vehicles and it is a walk day or market day or whatever activity the city has planned every Sunday.
We also see these giant knitted mandalas on display most of the time are also displayed every Sunday.
Flowering plants in pots decorate these windows in one of the establishments along Session Road. I'm not sure about the wires but I hope those are temporary.
This used to be part of the city's Christmas tree. I wonder why it took them a long time to take it down only to find out that it has another purpose. It served as a landmark for the flower festival. I do recall that one time when a Christmas tree at the park was also restructured to be something else.
These balloons are located on the top floor of the mall by the terrace. They added color and interest to the Sky Terrace as the mall calls it. The terrace has cafes that you can go to and enjoy the view.
It was a lovely day at that time and one can see a view of the park and the lake. It's really nice to see the lake's water colored blue unlike before when it was brown.
From the rooftop, I went down to the upper basement for the art gallery.
Whenever I am at the mall, I make sure to visit this floor to see what are the new paintings on display there. While writing this, I forgot to check another area where I believe other paintings are displayed as well. I hope I can go back and check them out. This is one of the things I like about the mall because they support local artists by giving them a space to display their work.
From the mall, we now go down to the park for the vertical landscape competition.
These are located beside the market encounter. There were about 18 and probably more entries. It's hard to take a clear shot because of foot traffic, lots of parkgoers and customers of the shops at the market encounter.
So there goes my walk for today. If you have gone this far, thanks for reading. I hope to see you again next time. Cheers!
