Are you a registered Voter? For countries under democratic in which government officials are elected through people's power do you exercise your right? Here in my country, the legal age to be registered is eighteen. As far as I can remember, I did when I turned that age. However, only a few times I did since most of the time, I'm not home. I find it not practical to go home, spend money on expensive plane tickets then what? 🙅♂.
However, since I am planning to settle here in my husband's hometown, it is better to process the voting transfer. Was it really needed? Well, sometimes the government could be biased if you are not a registered voter in your municipality.
Today, let me share with you my short walk going to the city hall as my entry in #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng.
Our home is just five minutes drive away, google says thirteen minutes walk. It could be a ride tricycle going there yet I chose not to as I wanted to have some exercise.
Slow pace, not in hurry just a chill walk and finally, almost there!
Outside the premises, I could still see arcs with Christmas lanterns with lights. Which made me wonder why decorations weren't removed? We are almost in mid-year. Did the in-charge forget or that's the practice?
Last year, I saw this bar decorated with colorful lights. Now, though it was empty, it was there!
Few more walks and I was about to enter the city hall.
It is my first time to do transactions here and I didn't expect that it was somehow spacious.
On both sides, there are still two story buildings and I was a little bit skeptical about where to go. Left, right or directly in the building at my front.
Better to walk straight in my front as it was the nearest! Good decision as it is where I can find the Comelec The lobby was spacious and mind you there is an elevator 😆.
The lady was nice and entertained my concerns immediately. She just asked me for a copy of my valid ID with the address here. Afterwards, she let me sit and prepared the documents I needed to fill up.
The usual basic information and I was done!
After encoding my details, she let me sign digital as well as the thumbmark to complete the process.
Still, I need a thumb mark on my application form and done! I am now a registered Voter here. Surely, future candidates during the election wouldn't snob me 🤣.
My transaction was fast, no express lane as there is no one other than me 🤣. You know Filipinos, we love beating the deadline. Elections will be next year I think so people are not yet in a rush.

Time to go home now! Next year is June, the month we celebrate our national independence, Flags are already hanging. On the road, government offices (if you noticed in above photos) and etc.

After taking this photo, I walked straight but this wild flower caught my attention.
It's beautiful isn't it?
Seems like summer is over and it rains frequently now, earlier while walking it was gloomy. Kinda favorable to me but still, I feel so hot and tired! It was only a thirty minutes of walk but I was so exhausted that I fell asleep on the couch when I reached home 🤣.
