Last week, I shared a blog about quick meet up with my sister at the airport before her flight back to Singapore. For today's #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng let me share with you some photos I snapped during the trip.
I always had that feeling of regrets every time I passed by this river. There are times I can see fish swimming and mind you all looking healthy. However, sad to note it wasn't edible. As the city continues expanding and developing, some natural resources such as rivers are contaminated.
Yet, at least there are few trees along the road, not that much but at least could help soothe the hot weather.
Arriving at the airport, I asked my sister where she was and I received these photos.
I already saw those flags before going out the taxi, now I just need to zoom in on what country flag she was currently standing on.
As included in my lead image here, I also sent her back this photo to let her know I am coming over.
Looking around at the departure area I felt mixed emotions. I know how it feels sending off your loved one. It was never easy yet nothing to do as of at that moment ; it was the only choice. The salary offered abroad was bigger compared to here and not to note other not so good requirements in finding a job.
As we are sitting, waiting for our order at Jollibee, snap this picture. Not sure for the term but I think it's the parking area for airplanes. Beyond this is what you can see.
Before the pandemic, public buses passed by service road beyond. So if you are going back to the main city there is no need to get a cab or taxis. It was cheaper. Taxi fare is around $8 or more for me unlike if there was a bus before it may only cost $2. However, since 2021 carousel buses have been implemented leaving me no choice. Or there is still a cheaper way, just I didn't know how.
The weather was so bright in contrast to what most of the customer dining feels. Maybe not all as some seemed tourist and others are just for travel purposes.
Though it was only for hours, somehow we had a great time. Both looking forward to the next time we will be meeting at the airport. We are going home for vacation.
It was still early when I decided to go back and this is the skyway when the road is not congested. Only a few vehicles pass by and you can enjoy the city view. Seeing those tall buildings, who would say the Philippines is poor? LOL!
And I was curious about this building as I haven't seen this before.
After few minutes as we approach Edsa road I had a feeling that we will be experiencing moderate traffic. It was the busiest road and even joke that this is where you can find forever (stuck in traffic).
The sun started to descend and the scorching heat was lessened, yet I didn't want to go home. So I told the driver to drop me at the nearest mall as I wanted to stroll around.
More on, wanted to check what to purchase for the incoming preparation in nesting.
And I was so awe that kept on checking every stall resulting to my feet and legs cramps again!
Hello Hivers! How's your Wednesday? Hope had a great one! Summer is here and for sure many are planning for an outing. If I am not pregnant for sure you will find it in trekking or hiking. Well, I won't denied I missed the fun, but I can say the journey of mine this year was something memorable and worth it!
