1900s Homes in Socal for my Wednesday Walk

in #hive-1555303 years ago

I was supposed to be tattooing some brows, but my client had to cancel last minute. I decided to take a walk, since I was in the area. There are so many older homes. There are many different styles as well. In the next couple weeks, I think I will visit different streets in that area because there is just a treasure trove of homes.

All of these homes have so much character. The street in the neighborhood is lined with Palm trees on one side.

On this street many of the homes have been renovated and turned into businesses. A lot of them are law offices, dentist offices, medical spas, and even a funeral home or two.

This home I just love. It had lanterns all over it, and the tree in front has the most beautiful blossoms. Most of them have fallen or are in the process of falling off. It is funny to me how many trees still have leaves turning colors even though it is already mid-January.

There are quite a few small houses that are perfect for the retired community that live here, and also the small families that are just starting. They are very cute, but I have too many kids for one of these.

This one was also small, but I love the roof line. These houses have so many details. It is hard to live in a neighborhood with such cookie-cutter houses like I do. One day, I am gonna have one of these types of homes.

Just a few more; I hope you are still enjoying the walk. It was about 2.5 miles long. Some of the homes look small from the front, but they are very deceiving. They extend back to double and triple the length sometimes.

Here is another one. I went ahead and took a picture of it. Even though it is hard to see, I still want to put it in here. It is surrounded by orange groves. A couple blocks on either side of this home is orange groves. You can even pull up into the driveway and they will sell you their delicious oranges for $5/bag.

These last two pics are the same house, and you can see just how big the home is.

In the next few weeks, I hope to walk by some of the more ornate Victorian Homes. They are my absolute favorite.

I like the shape of these houses very much

I am so glad. They are so unique to me.

The nice and beautiful houses. I like your first and seventh (very nice and stiff roof ).

American homes are so grand! I'm a fan of that house with the blossoms too. The colour sets it apart from the rest, imo.

In the next few weeks, I hope to walk by some of the more ornate Victorian Homes. They are my absolute favorite.

Looking forward to it!

Aren't they awesome. Not all are this amazing, but this is why I am fascinated by them. I am taking pictures because I just love them and want to share it with others.

Gorgeous homes, looks like you're in P.S's....

I'm from a couple hours west. You sure did a good job photoshopping that gray sky in there.

Verrrrrry close. I should make a trip there for some of their homes. There are some wild ones in that place. Inside and out. Once, I went inside and the entire thing was decorated with Barbie Dolls. It was cool, but also creepy since grown men lived there. yikes

What a cool neighborhood to walk the houses there have such style

Looking forward to future walks in other streets there

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

There are several streets, I guess I should make it a series. I never get sick of these types of homes.

I love seeing those properties as well :)
