Hello everyone,
Today I invite you to show you the route I take to work. It takes about one hour and 20 minutes from my home to work. Sometimes I drive this way with my cousin, but for the last two months, I have been using public transportation. I use two public transportation vehicles in total, one of them is the metro and the other is the tramway. I have to walk to reach these two vehicles. I am not complaining about walking, but I am a bit tired when I arrive at work. Especially in the last 20 minutes, there is a slope I walk on. That road makes me very tired. You can see that road in the last photos.
We keep talking about walking. Yes, walking is very important for our health. But do we pay attention to our nutrition? I eat an apple every morning when I have the opportunity, like this morning :)
My house is very close to the subway. This morning I left the house at 7:30 a.m. and ten minutes later I arrived at the metro stop. In those ten minutes, I finished my apple. In winter, it gets light later in the morning. It is not a problem for me, but it can be dangerous for students going to school. Today the weather was very nice. I left home early and walked slowly to the subway.
Yes, I'm at the Metro station. It's still dark. It will be light after my subway ride :) This station opened about 7 months ago. When this station didn't exist, I used to take the bus to use the subway. It's very good that this station exists.
A long staircase awaits me :) There are two of these stairs. I go down so many times that I don't know if I should be scared :) This station is new so everything is very clean. I love a clean environment. Everyone should behave the same way at home as they do outside. We should keep our environment clean. I am very happy when I see clean places or clean streets while walking.
Here some pessangers wait also metro. If you live in a metropolitan city like Istanbul, you have to get up very early in the morning. The population of this city is about 20 million. Even more than many European countries. Even if 20 percent of that many people work, that's an incredible number. And another problem in Istanbul is traffic. That's why many people use public transportation some days instead of using private cars.
Can you see the line?
Other side metro was came. But I still wait from my side. At this station I will get off 10 stops later and I will make a transfer. There is no direct subway to my destination. I will walk for about 10 minutes just to hide one more stop.
Yes, I finally got on the subway. As soon as the subway doors open, the people inside get off first. Then those outside try to get on. Everyone wants to sit down, but this chance is only for those sitting in the front :) Me for example :)
Hooray, I'm out. My Merro journey took about 45 minutes. I was still not late for work. I walked slowly along the roads you see below, many shops were not open yet. All the people I saw on the street were trying to get to work. Some were walking very fast and some were walking slowly like me. The air was very nice and clean. I walked until the tram, breathing the fresh air.
Finally I’m on the tramvay station. The tram was very crowded. My tram ride lasted about 10 minutes. I stood for 10 minutes without moving. After I got off the tram, I took a deep breath and started walking. My start time was 08.30 and when I got off the tram it was 08.45 :) I was 15 minutes late but it didn't matter. When I go to work, I can get my work done immediately.
I am almost at the office now. After the tram, I walk for about 15-20 minutes. As I mentioned at the beginning of the content, this way tires me the most because there is a hill here. As I walk, I usually look at the shop windows, especially the accessory stores. One day I will share a photo with you while shopping in one of those stores. I want to buy everything there. In fact, I have an idea to sell these products in an online store. I will realize this dream in the future.
That’s all today😊 Thank you joining my adventure. I want be here every month🙏🏻
Take care of yourself.
