This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.
I haven’t been to the meadows near the river outside the city for two years, all because the bridge was under repair and it was impossible to get to these places. The bridge was repaired just before winter, but everything was not just like that. In the spring, a flood began and destroyed the dam, descent, and stairs. However, I was able to find a way to get there.
That day it was incredibly hot +34C, but there was no choice, because on other days it either rains or I’m busy.
The first bird I met was a Blyth reed warbler. She sang a song hidden in the bushes.
Now there are a lot of Black-veined white butterflies in the city and beyond.
Of course I met a Asian Stonechat. There are a lot of these birds in these places.
In general, I found thickets of rose hips that served as a hostel for birds.
There were also Stonechats and Yellow Wagtails.
Bee on hogweed.
As usual, black kites fly over the meadows, hunting for fledglings.
Rosefinches live here in small quantities.
The bluethroat with its prey flew from plant to plant, probably looking for its children. By the way, I saw them too.
A few years ago a new bird appeared in these areas - Pallas's grasshopper warbler.
Due to the heat, I suffered severe heatstroke. So I decided to go back. And all the way I had thoughts about this, just so as not to faint, just not to lose consciousness.
I reached the river bank, found the nearest shadow in the bushes and just fell. I came to my senses for about an hour, took a nap a couple of times, and rested. Then I swam a little in the river. The photo is just from those bushes.
While I was resting, a small plover flew to the shore.
If you are reading this, then you have read to the end, for which I am very grateful.
