It's rare for Mommy F to go outside, she will only do that if she has to attend somewhere or when she feels like doing so. Today is that "rare time." It's already afternoon, so it's not that hot outside. Mommy F decided to go visit the market to buy fish for dinner. And of course I was dragged to come with her, haha. We just walk slowly to reach the market, and we take our sweet time talking about anything while we're on our way. We can't walk that fast because, aside from Mom getting tired easily, I just had my surgery, so I also need to take it slow.

There's a lot of fresh fish and seafood in the afternoon, we're not sure why at that time, but we're thankful that they sell fresh fish during the afternoon. With that, we can be sure to eat only fresh fish or seafood. The price of it is not that different from the price in the main wet market, in fact, we can save a peso in this place because there are people here who sell fish at a cheaper price. By the way, we called this spot "the little talipapa," or simply wet market.

So to get there, we have to walk for a minute, it's really not that far, in 3 to 5 minutes, we can already get there, depending on the speed of our walk. Even though it's a little hot on this part, the wind is blowing coldly, and because of that, we can enjoy this walk too.

And it became more enjoyable because of the kind of surroundings that we have here. See those tall trees? Those are all planted just beside the house of Mom's friend, just a few steps away from them. Seeing this whenever I take this route to go to the market gives me more reason to have my own land and build my own house while also planting it with different plants, especially tall trees. It would look as lively as this, for sure.

Moving on, we are reaching our destination - just a few more steps. And look at Mom trying to walk on her own. Although she can do that, I'm still afraid because with one wrong move, she can fall to the ground, and that's not good, it could cause something really dangerous. That's why I, her human cane, exist and come to the rescue.

By the way, if you noticed, you don't see a lot of people here, but that's because they are also busy somewhere or in one place. Some are busy inside the market, and some are busy gossiping, haha. That's how lively they are in here. And you know, sometimes I will just pass by those people gossiping, when I get home, I have already learned some gossip from them. It's not like I can cover my ears not to hear them, lol. There are times too that I will pretend like I'm busy choosing some product, but the truth is, I'm also curious about the gossip they are gossiping about. Sue me, but I can hear them, lol.

Anyway, we're finally here! And as you can see, it is just a little market with different people selling it. Just beside this is the main market. They still have fish that they are selling in the main building, but if you are looking for fresh-caught fish, then this is the right place for yah.

So here's the fish that one of the vendors is selling. And that's Mom looking for a fish she wants. We actually have the fish we want in mind, but just in case we see something better, we just checked it. And look at those big squids, that's the best size to make calamares and dip them in a spicy vinegar. Omg! I can imagine it, lol.

And on the other side, more vendors are selling their fish. There's really a lot that we can choose from here. As for us, aside from checking the freshness of the fish, we also check the price. Once we all check all of them, that's when we will decide who and where to buy. That's why it took us sometimes to get home because we took our time choosing. How about y'all?

By the way, I spotted these snails and clams here on one of the vendors. I've no idea about their names actually, no idea too about their taste. But I'm sure it tastes yummy(´⊙ω⊙`). How about you guys? Are you familiar with these two? With this kind of clam, I think they will taste good if you boil them with ginger, onions, salt, and some MSG. And with it's soup, you can just squeeze some calamansi on it. And for the snail, cooking it in the coconut milk with some green leaves will be perfect for it, yum! And now I'm craving for it. That's the best recipe I can think of for this two. And I tell you guys, it's the bestuuuuu!

And so in the end, we just bought this one, it's a half kilo, and we got it for 130 PHP, or $2.32. We brought it home, and I'm the one who thoroughly cleaned it.

Removing it's scale is kind of hard, but well, I'm used to it already, so cleaning it is a success, lol. But notice how fresh the fish are. That's why visiting the market in the afternoon is the best time, because you can catch a really fresh one. Ehe.

As for how I cooked it, I just put crushed garlic, salt, water, vinegar, and some MSG into it. And there you have it—fish for dinner. Ehe!

And that's how our little walk ended.
