For today's blog, I will share with you another wonderful walk with my friends as my entry to participate in the #wednesdaywalk initiated by the wonderful @tattoodjay.
It was just an ordinary day at home when one of my friends asked me if I could go out with them to "Kabilin Cove". I don't have any idea of where it was located though it could be found in our locality. So, without a second thought, I agreed to go with them and enjoy the rest of my days at the sea.
Kabilin Cove is located in Maslog, Tabogon, Cebu which is a few meters away from the national highway. We don't have any idea of its destination, we just saw a post on Facebook about the greeneries and the tranquil view of the water the place offers. Kabilin means something that our ancestors left for us, while Cove was named because of its rock formation along the sea that forms like a cove-ceiling that could usually be found inside a cave. When we reached the national highway, we asked locals about the place which told us to walk 15 to 20 minutes away.
Following a single-path road, we reach this wonderful view of coconut trees along the way. On the side is a wonderful view of the greeneries and mountains of our municipality. We enjoy the view of the coconut and grasses all over the place. We brought our camping chairs so that we could relax and sit down for a while if we were tired of walking.
A few meters away, we could see the place and feel the cold breeze of the air.
The Awesome View of the Secret Paradise
Viola! As we were approaching, the energy in me rose. Behind those coconut trees and tall cogon grass along the way is a magnificent view of the entire place. My friends were amazed also by the place because we were all first-timers.
You could see big trees on the top of the rocks. As you can see, rocks in the area form like a cove and are a little bit pointed. And behind the trees was an awesome view of the water. No people were swimming yet when we arrived maybe it's a weekday. The best about this place is no entrance fee collected and you can enjoy the place all you want.
Going down, you have to be very careful because it's a little bit hilly and slide. When bringing our younger ones with us, we should look very carefully at them when going down to the sea.
The clear blue water and the refreshing view of the place are what you will see when you're on the shore already. You can enjoy it with your families and friends its white sand.
Some will have overnight camping at the place because of its wide location and the breathtaking view of the sunrise early in the morning. I recommend that you should also bring food with you because the place is too far from buying the food you need.
Sometimes, all we need is a place to unwind and relax for a while. Take a break from the stress and overload of work we had. Seeing the place makes me energized again to do more. Though the place is a walking distance, yet you will not get bored because of its beautiful view as you walk along.
