While returing from the nearby town. Me and my friend stopped at their farmlands in the way.
To take a walk around and interact with the green surroundings.
His farmlands span around 70k sq yards of area and they cultivate multiple crops there.
In the middle of the lands is this water reservoir with a few ducks. And a big polyhouse.
A polyhouse is a specially constructed settlement to sow non seasonal crops in a controlled environment.
Adjacent to the polyhouse, there is this room comprising the heart of irrigation system. Water is pumped from here. Everywhere.
The polyhouse is huge and empty as of now. Being prepared to sow the crops. The last crop harvested was cucumber.
It looks cool from inside. Full of furrows.
Moving further ahead to the right is the crop of pumpkins 🎃. The yellow was adding a pleasing hue to the green, making it a wonderful sight while we walked past it.
Here's trying a macro at the pumpkins. Also can you spot some coriander plants around it?
A lot of coriander was also seeded around. Filling the whole atmosphere with its smell. Not too strong to be irritating. But refreshing instead.
A few people were picking the coriander plants.
Walking forward, there were these small trees to the right.
I asked Lucky what were they.
"Oranges" he said.
In the way,
Turning left I could see another naked polyhouse.
I was curious about their outer layers have been withered away.
Lucky told me that harsh weather conditions harms these polythene sheets. These are especially designed sheets that help with the partial or full climate control inside the polyhouse. They are translucent to let in sufficient light and also protect crops from the excessive heat at the same time.
He also said that these need educated labour to maintain, who can proficiently opeerate and run them.
And soon we reached the boundary of his farmlands.
Returning back I clicked a few more pictures of the polyhouse from behind. It was torn out at multiple places.
And I also spotted this one flowery tree that I missed before. It seemed like they were cotton balls and not flowers when looked at from a distance. It was wonderful.
So this was visiting my friends' farmlands. Taking a relaxing walk and spending some time away from the chaotic city life.
