As every Wednesday, I meet with you, dear friends of this beautiful community of #wednesdaywalk , thanks to the initiative of our dear friend @tattoodjay , who has provided this beautiful space to get to know better the locality where we live, wherever we are.
My day started bright and early when I left for work. The day continued to be cloudy; it has been raining at intervals for three days now, but that doesn't stop me from continuing with my daily routine. Although I hate driving in the rain, I needed to get to the Unik Hotel to deliver the chlorination minutes for the weekly summary.
Como cada miércoles, me encuentro con ustedes, queridos amigos de esta bella comunidad de #wednesdaywalk , gracias a la iniciativa de nuestro querido amigo @tattoodjay , quién ha proporcionado este hermoso espacio para conocer mejor la localidad donde vivimos, estemos donde estemos.
Mi día comenzó bien temprano cuando salí al trabajo. El día continuaba nublado; ya lleva tres días lloviendo en intervalos, pero eso no me detiene para continuar con mi rutina diaria. Aunque odio manejar bajo la lluvia, me era necesario llegar al hotel Unik para hacer las entregas de las actas de clorado para el resumen semanal.
After finishing, I went out into the city to pick up my son and husband. With the three of them together, I felt calmer and more relaxed to have them around on a gray day and because I wouldn't have to drive in the rain, since my husband would be doing it. He likes it and so do I, because I feel much more relaxed.
Al terminar, salí a la ciudad para recoger a mi hijo y esposo. Ya los tres juntos, me sentía más tranquila y relajada por tenerlos cerca en un día gris y porque no tendría que manejar bajo la lluvia, ya que mi esposo lo haría. A él le gusta y a mí también, porque así me siento mucho más relajada.
The three of us together went to get food for the new chickens I have at home. We went to the farm in Cocheima. By the way, the corn they ship is of great quality and for that reason we always buy there.
Los tres juntos fuimos a buscar la comida para las nuevas gallinas que tengo en casa. Fuimos a la agropecuaria que se encuentra en Cocheima. Por cierto, el maíz que ellos despachan es de gran calidad y por esa razón siempre compramos allí.
As we left the farm, we passed by the “Almendras” bakery, which is right on Giraldot Street, very close to the Cocheima gas station, in La Asunción, in the Nueva Esparta state of Margarita Island.
Al salir de la agropecuaria, pasamos por la panadería “Almendras”, que queda justo en la calle Giraldot, muy cerca de la gasolinera de Cocheima, en La Asunción, en el estado Nueva Esparta de Isla Margarita.
The bakery is quite cozy, but we preferred to sit on the terrace, as the weather was not very sunny and it was a bit cool.
La panadería es bastante acogedora, pero nosotros preferimos sentarnos en su terraza, ya que el clima no era muy soleado y corría algo de fresco.
Several times we had passed by this bakery, but today as we passed by we smelled the delicious smell of freshly baked pastry, and we were not mistaken. They were bringing out cheesecake and ham and cheese puff pastries. Our son immediately told us that if we eat cake, we must accompany it with some liquid, and his favorite is Coca-Cola, but we prefer to eat the delicious cake with a cold malt.
Varias veces habíamos pasado cerca de esta panadería, pero hoy al pasar sentimos un olor delicioso a pastel recién hecho, y no nos equivocamos. Estaban sacando pasteles de hojaldre de queso y jamón y queso. Nuestro hijo inmediatamente nos dijo que si comemos pastel, hay que acompañarlos con algún líquido, y el preferido de él es la Coca-Cola, pero nosotros preferimos comernos el delicioso pastel con una malta bien fría.
They attended us very well and quickly. I consider that the service is quite efficient, being satisfied with the attention and quality of their products.

After we finished snacking on those delicious cakes, we continued on our way home, passing through the oak tunnel that we love so much. This oak tunnel is one of our favorite places. Whenever we pass through it, we feel as if we are entering a magical world. The trees form a natural arch over the road, and on cloudy days like today, the atmosphere becomes even more enchanting. It's a small pleasure that we enjoy as a family, and it always brings a smile to our faces.
Al terminar de merendar esos deliciosos pasteles, continuamos camino a casa, pasando por el túnel de roble que tanto nos gusta. Este túnel de roble es uno de nuestros lugares favoritos. Siempre que pasamos por allí, nos sentimos como si estuviéramos entrando en un mundo mágico. Los árboles forman un arco natural sobre la carretera, y en días nublados como hoy, el ambiente se vuelve aún más encantador. Es un pequeño placer que disfrutamos en familia, y siempre nos saca una sonrisa.
Despite the rainy weather, the day went smoothly and productively. We took the opportunity to spend time together, chat and enjoy each other's company.
