Hello, dear hives and friends of #wednesdaywalk; here I am, as every Wednesday, to share with you all my walk today, thanks to the initiative of our dear friend @tattoodjay . As I have told you in other opportunities, this beautiful space allows us to explore different places through everyone's walks, which are always very interesting.
Today I will show you my tour, which although it was not very extensive, it was very profitable and productive. I tell you that since the beginning of December, here on the island we had not had heavy rains, and finally, in these days, it began to rain heavily in the early morning. The sky, which always looks a deep blue, has turned a little gray at times, and I confess that here in Margarita a gray sky, that is unusual.
Hola, queridos hives y amigos de #wednesdaywalk; aquí estoy, como cada miércoles, para compartir con todos ustedes mi recorrido de hoy, gracias a la iniciativa de nuestro querido amigo @tattoodjay . Como en otras oportunidades les he comentado, este bello espacio nos permite explorar diferentes lugares a través de los paseos de todos, que siempre resultan muy interesantes.
Hoy les mostraré mi recorrido, que aunque no fue muy extenso, resultó muy provechoso y productivo. Les cuento que desde principios de diciembre, aquí en la isla no habíamos tenido fuertes lluvias, y finalmente, en estos días, comenzó a llover fuertemente en la madrugada. El cielo, que siempre luce un azul intenso, se ha tornado un poco gris por momentos, y les confieso que aquí en Margarita un cielo gris, eso es poco usual.
Because of this, it is necessary to take precautions and waterproof the roofs very well to avoid any inconvenience, I am of the opinion that it is better to be foresighted. For this reason today we set out to look for a waterproofing, taking advantage of the fact that we had the day off, without any pending task. We went out to visit several hardware stores in search of this purpose.
Seeing that we could not get what we were looking for, we went to the municipality of Maneiro to go to “Más x Menos”, since they usually have good offers. We refueled and continued our trip.
Debido a esto, es necesario tomar precauciones e impermeabilizar muy bien los techos para evitar cualquier inconveniente, soy del criterio que es mejor ser previsores. Por esta razón hoy nos dispusimos a buscar un impermeabilizante, aprovechando que teníamos el día libre, sin ninguna tarea pendiente. Salimos a visitar varias ferreterías en busca de este propósito.
Al ver que cerca de casa no conseguimos lo que buscábamos, nos dirigimos al municipio Maneiro para ir a "Más x Menos", ya que suelen tener buenas ofertas. Surtimos gasolina y continuamos nuestro viaje.
We arrived and, to my surprise, what we needed was not in stock, which caused me some frustration. I was only able to buy a thick fiber pad to apply the waterproofing. At the same store, they suggested that we visit “La Tienda del Pintor” (The Painter's Store), since they make several products of excellent quality.
Llegamos y, para mi sorpresa, no había en existencia lo que necesitábamos, lo que me causó algo de frustración. Solo pude comprar una almohadilla de fibra gruesa para aplicar el impermeabilizante. En la misma tienda, nos sugirieron que visitáramos "La Tienda del Pintor", ya que elaboran diversos productos de excelente calidad.
“La Tienda del Pintor” is located in Asunción, so we turned around and made our way there. When we arrived, we found various waterproofing products, suitable for different surfaces and levels of damage. But, since we just wanted to protect, they recommended “MantoFlex”.
"La Tienda del Pintor" se encuentra en Asunción, así que dimos la vuelta y emprendimos nuestro camino hacia allá. Al llegar, encontramos diversos productos para impermeabilizar, adecuados para distintas superficies y niveles de daño. Pero, como solo queríamos proteger, nos recomendaron "MantoFlex".
This store also offers the service of preparing the paint color of your choice and keeps the formula in case you want to come back another time. A few years ago, I created a formula here, and today I asked if they still had it; to my delight, they did. I now know that I can come back for that color I love at any time.
Esta tienda también ofrece el servicio de preparar el color de pintura que desees y guarda la fórmula por si deseas volver en otro momento. Hace algunos años, creé una fórmula aquí, y hoy pregunté si aún la conservaban; para mi alegría, así era. Ya sé que puedo venir a buscar ese color que tanto me gusta en cualquier momento.
The truth is that I did not know that they were dedicated to making waterproofing products; if I had known, from the first moment I would have been the first place to visit.
So I took my waterproofing home with tremendous excitement, waiting for the sun to come out again to apply the product and leave my roof well protected against the rains that are expected at the end of this month.
La verdad es que no sabía que se dedicaran a elaborar impermeabilizantes; de haberlo sabido, desde el primer momento habría sido el primer lugar a visitar.
Así que me llevé mi impermeabilizante a casa con tremenda emoción, esperando que vuelva a salir el sol acostumbrado para aplicar el producto y dejar mi techo bien protegido ante las lluvias que se esperan a finales de este mes con fuerza.
We took our “tunnel of love” back home, feeling very satisfied.
