It is not the first time I start a #wednesdaywalk post with a photo of a small harbor with fishing boats, but this one is not from our island. It is from a trip we did with @fotostef a few weeks ago in the mainland of Greece, and specifically in the most eastern part of eastern Peloponnese. This is the picturesque village of Ermioni. It is a relaxing place, especially in siesta time that we arrived.
It is a quite popular destination for the Athenians as it is about 2,5 hours driving from Athens and within a short drive you feel like being in an island. The water is crystal clear and there are plenty of beaches around.
The village is built on a small peninsula, so we just walked around enjoying the gentle sun and the smell of the fresh air coming from the sea.
And then we wandered at the narrow streets of the village. Everything was so quiet.
And while the only living beings we had met till that moment were these two cats...
... a car passed by. And then we saw some more people, everyone was slowly waking up from siesta. This old car looked just right in this environment :)
I love these curtains. Peacocks in love. How cute, haha! My grandma had similar ones, yes, with peacocks :)
I don't know who had the idea and the good cheer to paint the electricity poles, but I really liked the idea. I love these details that make a place unique because someone put some extra love and care! Here is a small collection :)
A hopscotch, what a nice surprise! That was one of my favorite games as a child and I was really good at it :)
I could hear a kid's voice coming from the house, I guess it is the kid that has spent hours hopping, 1,2,3,5,7,8,9 as the path of the yellow dots is guiding us :)
Happy walks everyone!
