Hello friends, let me tell you that I am already living in my new home, in the city of Corupá and I have to tell you that I have only been here for a few days but what I have seen is pleasing me a lot. Yesterday my mom, my husband and I had to go out to do some paperwork and I took some pictures along the way to show you a part of this small but beautiful city.
Hola amigos, les cuento que ya me encuentro viviendo en mi nuevo hogar, en la ciudad de Corupá y he de decirles que solo llevo unos días aquí pero lo que he visto me está gustando mucho. En el día de ayer mi mamá, mi esposo y yo tuvimos que salir a hacer algunos trámites y aproveché y tomé varias fotos por el camino para poder mostrarles una parte de esta pequeña pero bellísima ciudad.
We start right at the exit of the house, because there I have a wonderful view, very close mountains that almost always touch the clouds. In front of the house we have a small market and a few steps to the left is this bridge (there are several in the city) from which I have a wonderful view of the river and all the nature that dominates the place.
Empezamos justo a la salida de la casa, pues ahí tengo una vista maravillosa, unas montañas muy cercanas que casi siempre tocan las nubes. Frente a la casa tenemos un pequeño mercado y a unos pasos a la izquierda se encuentra este puente (hay varios en la ciudad) desde el cuál tengo una vista maravillosa al río y a toda la naturaleza que predomina en el lugar.

At the end of the bridge is this small place where I have seen some people practicing sports, especially beach volleyball, as the surface is sandy.
Al terminar el puente está este pequeño lugar en el cuál he visto a algunas personas practicando deporte, sobre todo vóleibol de playa, pues la superficie es de arena.
Something I am loving about this place is the tranquility and cleanliness of its streets, as well as the beauty of its houses. Everywhere I go everything looks nice, I am amazed at how beautiful the houses and cobblestone streets are.
Algo que estoy amando de este lugar es la tranquilidad y limpieza de sus calles, así como la belleza de sus casas. A dónde quiera que voy todo me parece lindo, me quedo maravillada con lo bonita que son las casas y las calles de adoquines.
A train also passes through the city, but not to transport people. Anyway, the train gives an antique touch to the city that I like very much.
Por la ciudad también pasa un tren, pero no para transportar personas. Como sea, el tren le da un toque antiguo a la ciudad que me gusta mucho.
We finally arrived downtown (which is pretty close to my house) and the first thing we did was go into a store for my mom to buy a cell phone. Then we went to buy phone lines for everyone and then to the bank to do some paperwork that we need to start working.
If you see in the pictures, the streets are pretty empty, because as I said it is a pretty quiet city and most people drive a car, although you can find people on bicycles, of course, here bicycles must ride on the sidewalk. And speaking of bicycles, a very big culture shock for me was to see how they leave the bikes on the sidewalk without locking them, confident that no one will steal them, that could not be possible back in Cuba 🙄😅.
Finalmente llegamos al centro de la ciudad (que es bastante cerca de mi casa) y lo primero que hicimos fue entrar a una tienda para que mi mamá se comprara un celular. Luego fuimos a comprar las líneas del teléfono para todos y después al banco a hacer unos papeles que necesitamos para empezar a trabajar.
Si ven en las fotos, las calles están bastante vacías, pues como dije es una ciudad bastante tranquila y la mayoría de las personas manejan un carro, aunque puedes encontrarte personas en bicicleta, eso sí, aquí las bicicletas deben ir por la acera. Y hablando de bicicletas, un choque de cultura muy grande para mí fue ver cómo dejan las bicicletas en la acera sin necesidad de ponerle candado, confiados de que nadie se las robará, eso no podría ser posible en Cuba 🙄😅.

We continued our tour and stopped at a pharmacy to buy some products, here comes another culture shock, in these pharmacies besides the fact that there is no lack of medicine, you can find many products, from makeup, sandals, toiletries and others. In front of the pharmacy I noticed some small and very beautiful pine trees and across the street there is a church.
Seguimos nuestro recorrido y paramos en una farmacia a comprar unos productos, aquí viene otro choque cultural, en estas farmacias además de que no falta el medicamento, puedes encontrar muchos productos, desde maquillaje, sandalias, productos de aseo y otros. Frente a la farmacia me llamó la atención unos árboles de pino pequeños y muy bonitos y al cruzar la calle hay una iglesia.
The city of Corupá is known for its bananas, so much so that I found it very curious to see this figure on two objects in the city: in a trash can and in light of an electricity pole, one has the shape of a banana and the other of its leaf 🍌🍌🍌🍌.
La ciudad de Corupá es reconocida por sus plátanos, tanto así que me resultó muy curioso ver esta figura en dos objetos de la ciudad: en un cesto de basura y en luz de un poste de electricidad, uno tiene la forma de un plátano y el otro de su hoja 🍌🍌🍌.

Before leaving for home we went into a store where they sold pet products, just out of curiosity and then to a bakery, but only to buy bread, although the cakes invited us to spend all the money 😋😋😋😋.
Antes de irnos para la casa entramos a una tienda donde vendían productos de mascotas, solo por curiosidad y luego a una panadería, pero solo a comprar pan, aunque los cakes nos invitaban a gastarnos todo el dinero 😋😋😋.
And so far the walk that I bring you today, I still don't know the city well but little by little and with walks like this I'm getting to know the places. For now I think it's a beautiful city and I still don't believe it's my new home, speaking the truth 😅.

Y hasta aquí el paseo que les traigo hoy, aún no me conozco bien la ciudad pero poco a poco y con paseos como este voy conociendo los lugares. Por lo pronto me parece una ciudad bellísima y aún no me creo que sea mi nuevo hogar, la verdad 😅.
