Hi there, wholesome reader!
One of the things I love about my current workplace is how strongly it promotes work-life balance. Because of this, my teammates and I were able to step out of the office and take a walk around the area.
Here’s a little background on how we came up with the idea. One day, while heading out for dinner, we noticed a lot of people jogging and running nearby. We jokingly said to each other, "We should try walking around too!"
At first, not everyone was convinced. However, some of my colleagues really encouraged the group, and eventually, we made it happen!
We started walking at around 5:30 in the afternoon. I’m not sure how many kilometers we covered, but I logged an impressive 11,000 steps that day! For context, I usually average only 4,000 to 5,000 steps daily. We finished our walk at about 6:15 PM.
But wait, there’s more! One of my co-workers and I decided the walk alone wasn’t enough to work up a good sweat. So, instead of using the elevator, we climbed the stairs. We made it all the way to the 10th floor! Admittedly, I was the one who surrendered and suggested we take the elevator from the 10th floor up to the 21st, where our workstation is located.
Still, I was so happy to have walked and enjoyed seeing some greenery outside the office. I’m also grateful for the positive culture being nurtured in our company. I really hope this won’t be the last time we do this activity. In fact, I’m looking forward to making it a weekly habit. Stay tuned!
Thank you for reading my post up to this point. I hope you have a great time ahead!
I'll take delight in writing for you again soon.
Love,
