Greetings friends, I hope you are having a nice week, I want to bring you this experience, the streets of my Havana not all have the freshness and charm of those big and beautiful avenues like 3rd street or 5th avenue in Miramar, but still it has its thing as we Cubans say.
I decided to walk my between streets starting from the train terminal, bordering all its wall until the factory street, and with the sun constant but warm, when I begin to recognize some graffiti on it.
Looking all over the wall I discover that this graffiti is by Fabian Lopez, one of the best known in the city and that his name says little because we recognize it as 2+2=5. Fabian has left more than 200 graffiti all over Havana, accompanied by his unmistakable 2+2=5.A story born of his adolescence that many of us recognize as 2+2=5.
As I walk I can see in places that seem to be forgotten forever the intention to immortalize a name, leave a message, mark territory with a signature, or a simple drawing, appearing spontaneously and in many cases even in a disorderly manner.
I stop to take some pictures, and someone comments that they write on walls and walls and do not take care of them, without realizing that in the XXI century, it would be almost impossible to ignore graffiti as a form of cultural and popular expression.
The Santiago train begins to arrive, with its loud noise and the deafening whistle of the locomotive almost forces me to take a breath under a shadow, a man comes up to me and says what do you see there, and I can not speak just smile, and continue along the wall, admiring more and more these graffiti and thinking to myself, as many think it is an act of vandalism and not a living expression, although it emerged more than half a century ago, has not yet lost the ability to surprise me.
I continue, cross the line, take a picture from the top and arrive at my fraternity park, passing my great Havana theater entering through San Rafael Boulevard and again small, here is one more graffiti.
