Giuseppe did not know he was a study in complimentary colors, with his orange ginger hair sat next to the blue and white teapot of his mistress.
Today's piece is my finished piece in my series: Animal Tea party, of which I've a few varieties. From Otters and rats to dogs and racoons.
After sketching in my sketchbook and paper on my drawing table, I scan the piece and digitally ink it.
Inked outline that will One day be a part of a coloring book I'm working on.
I've made a few pieces thus far heavily inked in the hopes of starting to offer coloring pages (digitally as well as physical pages) and eventually making one entire coloring book.
I've done him over in watercolor but I like to use digital oil pastels often for my usual style with my Animals series. Yet, this year, I've been embracing making over my pieces in various formats as it allows me to have some focus whilst also getting variety.
I know one is meant to have a honed style, but I find it far too much fun to use a variety of medium and style, so in a way that is my style I suppose.
I hope you enjoy my silly little fellow today. He's made me miss my own darling Chi, Montgomery, whom we had for almost 20 years. We lost him in 2019 and he is still sorely missed.
Monty with his beloved silkie chick whom became fast friends.
One day I'll have another chi, but only when the time is right.
DO you find it hard to replace a lost and loved pet? For me it will have to just Feel like it is the right time and of course the new fellow will not replace but simply create a new bond.
