Most people, when they see a mouse, are scared and want to destroy it immediately as a pest. Even if we lived in harmony with it, there would be no need for mouse traps or poison. The poison is dangerous to the environment anyway, to other animals, especially domestic cats and birds of prey.
In fact, mice in the pantry, house, food store are undesirable guests. Good domestic cats can keep them away. If you don’t want to kill them, you can gently trap the mice (there are a lot of DIY videos on youtube) and take them out to the meadow where they get another chance, or will be a natural food for birds of prey or foxes.
In addition to mice living in human settlements, many other species of mice live in nature, one of the smallest of which is the dwarf mouse, which is protected. It is so tiny that it can move in balance on the blades of grass. It does not damage the crop and is very, very cute!
I drew and painted it based on a photo. I didn’t copy, just needed help because of the main forms.
My original idea was to paint it with a watercolor pencil and then wash it off with a brush, but its colors became very faint. I didn’t like it that way and preferred to repaint it with Sonnet watercolor paint. It has become much more alive! You can see the process here. I'll skip the watercolor pencil next time, I don't like it.
