Hello Everyone
I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll be sharing the process of my drawing in this post. About my tools and how I drew a fan-art version of the original card that is quite different from the original.
The monster I drew today is named Camilia Sungazer. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach both my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-
My Drawing
Original Image
This one started quite differently than my normal ones. I normally draw my character first and then add the other details and background. But, in this one, I drew the wheel of the weapon first. Since it'll be positioned behind her it wasn't necessary to draw it first but I did it to make the roundness of the wheels and the position of the spikes perfect.
Then I started drawing according to the basic structure I drew before and added the primary color layers that were needed. And then added a skin color layer on top of that. The previous color layers were to help blend in the original skin color and visualize the shades. I also worked on her eyes and lips including the skin tone of her face.
Then I started working on the skin tone of her whole body. I added multiple bright and darker color layers to draw these curves and then I also drew her hair. All that is left is drawing her dress and some final touches.
Drawing her dress and the necklace took many steps and color layers and designing them took more time too. You'll be seeing the full process in the timelapse video I'm going to add. Drawing the design on her dress and creating the glossy effect of the dress was tough to do. Hope you like it.
Final Image
After some final touches, some shiny stars and some more color layers, here's my final Image.
I hope you liked my drawing. There were a lot of steps and small parts that I skipped cause that'd be a lot of pictures in total. For that, I'll add a time-lapse video below that will contain all of them. I uploaded the video to my youtube channel and putting it below. Tell me in the comment if you liked it or not. Also, give me suggestions about how can I improve my content quality. Both my post and drawing. Thanks in advance for that. Thanks a lot for reading my post and staying till the end.
