in St. Louis, this Monday 28th Oct., after just having completed the US championship (won by Fabiano Caruana) a socalled "Chess 9LX" round robin rapid tournament is starting:

9LX is a mixture of Arabian and Roman numbers and of course stands for the 960 different starting positions in this chess variant.
Unfortunately only US players are participating, not Magnus Carlson, Alireza Firoudja or one of the Indian Youngsters in on board. Could be still interesting!
