Some thought on future tournaments and attendance
I've been actively petitioning in discords to garner attendance, even offering free PIZZA just for fully participating, despite this attendance is low. In the future I think I will be holding less tournaments with greater prizes and more of a time in between (perhaps 4 or 5 tournaments every 2 weeks for more substantial prizes instead of a 10 week run with a tournament each weekend). Crypto winter and continually descending token prizes hasn't helped with incentivizing participation, but I have a few plans in the works to make the next series more engaging after taking data from this series. These tournaments shouldn't be sporting long wait times in between matches, these are meant to be fun and FREE events people can participate in to play chess, not to wait around for a match. I will be taking a poll to arrange for the best times aswell. Please let me know your opinions below this post.
