Dear chess fans,
yesterday the second round of season 17 "x4" was played as a 3+3 arena. For the rules please refer to the announcement post. This time only 13 players (with an average rating of 1777) were participating. This is very disappointing given the efforts I have made to make the tournament attractive for players of all skill levels. Maybe it is due to the upcoming vacation season which makes people busy with preparations. So I skip next week just in case people are off or travelling. I can only hope that we have in future more players. To have 4 skill tiers with 13 players is not worth it! If the participation will stay at these levels also in the next year, it will be my last tournament...
@pamboy27 was able to end up as winner after overtaking our veteran champion @jaki01 last minute! The third rank went to a new player, @yf95, followed by @vjap55 and @samostically on places 4 and 5. Congratulations to All!
I ended up as 10th out of 13. Probably my worst result - ever.
