yesterday the 5th round of season 17 was played, a 3+1 arena tournament with 18 players. For the rules please refer to the announcement post. Welcome back to Hivechess, @stranger27 and @kintokris!
After a lot of berserking and blunders from many players @lucianosky (Pavarotty) ended up as winner (the 5th winner in the 5th round - this is unique!), followed by @rosmarly who is in great shape in this season! The third podium place went to the previous winner @dhilan04, ex aequo in points! Congratulations to All!

Players can switch between the tournament tiers in case their rating changes! A rating in Italic indicates that this player is in "danger" of changing tiers!
No big changes after having played half of the rounds. Everything is possible still. In the fierce battle for the first place in tournament 3 @rosmarly could narrow the gap and has now the same points as @dhilan04! In tournament 4 @lucianosky with his win today could come closer to the top and is now runner-up. Of note, only 2 players in the highest tier played yesterday. Hmm, is the tournament not interesting for them or was it just a coincident?
