it is half time in S18, yesterday round 5 was played. For the rules please refer to the announcement post. 21 players with an average rating of 1741 (highest so far this season!) had joined. Welcome back @yazp and welcome @castm2 to Hivechess!
Despite the time control of 3+1 people berserked like crazy which led to quite some upsets! It was a very close fight for the top between @samostically, @dhilan04 and @lucianosky (Pavarotty), at the the end @samostically could prevail, 1 point ahead of @dhilan04 and 4 ahead of @lucianosky. Surprise of the day was @rodrook with one of his best results ever!

In tournament 1 @vasigo could achieve the lead position, just 1 point ahead of @ram9612!
In the most competitive tournament 2 @stranger27 could extend his lead, while @masterswatch made a jump to the second place and in tournament 3 I could climb to the top as @rosmarly missed out this round.
Of note, two players, @fiona777 and @dhilan04 will be regrouped to another tier, if they keep their current rating!
